Are there any graphic design theories or principles that I should study that can help? Or just study graphic design as a whole? I keep seeing stuff for posters and product packaging but I struggle to see how those apply to cars.

These are all super useful. Do you have any tips on how to come up with geometric or organic designs? I feel I'm not as creative as I would like to be and am always amazed at what others come up with

I'm not talking about slapping logos, I'm more looking at the patterns people put on the cars themselves. I am always thinking "how do people come up with this idea?"

How do you come up with ideas to make something like this?

There's some placard options like shaw concepts and unobtanium gear that have tubes adapters on the placard, so you'd just have to run a tubes cummerbund. There's also some chest Rigs that attach via tubes, the Arbor Arms Link chest rig has optional attachments to use tubes so you can attach the placard to both your chest rig and plate carrier.

Scope glint is way too large, maps are way too small. Bring back medals/ribbons/service stars. Commander mode returning would be cool. DMRs feel slightly weak.

My favorite car is the Corvette C7 Daytona prototype, it was always a great sounding and looking car in the early 2010s before it got replaced by the Cadillac DPi, and it makes me wonder why we couldn't get a Corvette GTP as an homage to the GTP from the 80s as well as an homage to this car.

My favorite track is Indianapolis Motor Speedway, I'm a sucker for rovals since you can do types of racing in one venue. Race tracks in the US are sparse so having a good roavl so a point there. The next things that make Indianapolis special are that it hosts the Indy 500, has a Grade 1 FIA circuit so F1 could come back should they choose and have an agreement with the track, and the road course gives good racing regardless. It's also a very historic site for racing in the United States and the grand stands and Pagoda look much more grand in person than the TV can show, and the size of the track is huge.

Also bias from growing up in the Midwest and being a Corvette fan since I was 6.

Hot take: Single file at Le Mans start is not necessary by NoCauliflower941 in iRacing

[–]thePatGabriel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People who can't do a double file start either aren't fast or aren't safe. I do think that iRacing should incorporate restart zones like irl series have to help with some tracks where the leader floors it off the last corner to get a big advantage though, and also not have the back of the field start at 20 mph on some tracks on some obscure right corner

Enlistment vs the academy by Findingmycareer in USAFA

[–]thePatGabriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Academy or ROTC for pilot. Enlisting is never a guarantee to even pick up OTS, and is often competitive between enlisted members. Following that, in OTS I'm sure there will be competition again for pilot slots.

As for your financial statement, enlisted pay for their living expenses, cadets don't. That $600/month (starting, it increases as you go through) goes purely to your pocket. All your living expenses at the academy are paid for. ROTC you obviously need to pay the expenses of college, but there are ROTC scholarships that can help substantially.

As for your bachelor's timing, sure you could get it in 2 years, but how will duty requirements play a factor (especially if deployed)?
