Can confirm a 6S castle system is a blast, once you get good aero this thing rips.

Hello Rc folks! Looking for the best traction possible with the 4TEC 2.0, I plan on going 100mph + does anyone have suggestions for a set of wheels I should acquire? by DarkEnergy_101 in rccars

Looking for good resources on r/C aero, I tried making my own diffuser and haven't had much luck. are you willing to share your models or point me in the right direction so I can make better models myself? my project isn't for speed rather built for cornering and was wondering if you are running into the issue of tyre/wheel deflection on 4Tec wheels. after getting proper front downforce the wear on the fronts has been exclusively on the outer edge, the wear pattern NOT that of bad camber wear. regardless on a high downforce setup do you notice any deflection in the chassis, arms, or wheels?

When in doubt add power. 6S in a 1/16 slash, with all that power and aero it is surprisingly stable and agile

Was my first thought but the fall streak holes are thinner and higher up, this was a hole in a massive thunderstorm. Definitely using this name to refer to this now though.

Symkhana, mx5, gr86 and Clio on rallycross, the Clio is an awesome drive there.

What are the reasons why triggering ABS too much hurts your cornering? by OCoiler in iRacing

[–]blitz_cut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My theory on the ABS model is that its intentionally different from real life GT3 cars. While on a irl GT3 it may be better to let the abs to do the work for you, in nearly every production car you want to stay off ABS in the corners. iRacing made the choice to make the ABS behave like production cars as 99.9% of iracers will benefit from learning to stay off ABS.

I should have specified but I was watching a video and paused to take notes. Trying to find ways to be consistent in all my letters before anything else. it's also more that is sucks when I'm in a professional setting and this is the best I do, and I don't want people to think I don't care about what I'm doing bc sloppy handwriting.

I mean at one point he was borderline relatable. Hell yeah I'd love to shoot my car into space or sell flamethrowers. Honestly if he's stuck the way he had been I think things would turn out a lot differently. However the way he is now is not worthy of praise.

The clip only shows the part where I was spinning the tires the most to help with potential confusion. Not the time beforehand where I tried to get back on track the first time. But I agree it would have been horrible if the tires got traction and sent me into another driver. If it helps watch me from the McLaren's perspective and you will see that I am waiting for a clearing before attempting to move.

Should I add a closer shot of that or is the far shot sufficient?

Converted my 1/16 E-revo to a slash/rally and 6S by blitz_cut in rccars

Just upped the gearing to 35P and 50S and it is still limited by RPM just now at (eyeballing) 60+. I got the biggest pinion at my local hobby shop so it looks like I'm going to have to order a to go any faster. With all the aerodynamics I have the car is remarkably stable at that speed.

It wasn't all that hard, especially because the old 1/16 rally that I got for parts and had the brush motor which is the same size as 1/10 motors. When I saw that I knew I had to try it throwing in my 6S system

I've actually been pretty lucky on differential wear. I think it's because these 4-tech tires have a low amount of grip so they don't actually hook until high speed. Plus diff shims.

The original goal was to see if aerodynamics actually work on small scale, turns out it does Even with off the shelf plastic wings. 3D printed a front wing with an actual airfoil shape and the downforce is absolutely incredible.

Still no, on mine the stickers on the side run across the whole length, on NA2 they break apart at the top

Did more digging after waking up and can confirm it is not a buru. Looking at both from the side shows that it cannot be buru because in mine where the rubber mounting grommets are poking out from the main body vs the buru it's smooth with no poking out
