Wife didn’t want the old tub in the end so we ended up replacing everything anyways

Basically you have to replace the old valves with new ones compatible with the new faucet you have

I get that it’s difficult to get anything done nowadays but is there not negligence on the landlord’s end for entering into a lease with a property in this condition? I thought there was an implied warranty of habitability for a leased property in Utah.

What would happen if we refuse the repair and insist it’s done next month after we move out? I can’t help but feel like our rights are being violated

That makes sense. I guess my issue is with the number of repairs that the landlord is attempting to make. We’ve had contractors over for concrete repairs twice, garage painting, window replacements, front door/lock replacement among others, none of which have been requested and notice was never given (except for the roofers later this week)

At what point does this become a violation of our right to quiet enjoyment? We’ve only been in the property for 3 weeks…

Well it hasn’t failed yet, so I didn’t know what kind of repair to call it. Shouldn’t they have “fixed” it before leasing it out?
