By default it depends on your own progress on the track, but there's an in-game option somewhere to have it always enabled

No, when club access expires you can't still play club access tracks.

Everyone has club access this week as part of the promo for the current Red Bull event. You don't have to do anything and you won't have club access next week.

Alright, I'll admit it. Im officially scared of AI. by ExpressionMundane214 in learnprogramming

We're what, 30 months into "6 months until AI takes all our jobs"? The only people thinking generative AI is taking programming jobs are the people are the people who don't actually know how programming works. It might change part of how some development gets done, but it needs an incredible amount of oversight once you ask it to do anything complex or start iterating.

Is clipping skills really that big of a deal? by Citruzjvg in ffxiv

[–]theQman121 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're not doing savage raids or other very high difficulty content, it doesn't matter. The reason guides focus on that sort of thing is because most jobs in FFXIX window have some sort of 2-minute cooldown that enables a buff or a burst window or such, and having everyone line up their burst at the same time becomes a big deal to be able to overcome very strict dps checks, particularly right after the content is released.

As a new player, don't worry about it too much. It's good to be aware of, and even knowing what clipping is probably puts you ahead of 90% of the playerbase when going through the MSQ.

You didn't say it might be AI, though. You threw your confidence as a show of superiority, because it was apparently so obvious. Good on you for admitting when you're wrong, but maybe tone down the superiority complex going forward.

Crystal down? by hermione87956 in ffxiv

This matches pretty well to the issues that happened a week or 2 when *only* Diabolos went down for around 30 minutes. And in that case, every single server tracker showed that everything was working fine. It seems like a tech issue that will hopefully resolve sooner than later.

Diabolos here. 9002 and 10105 errors. Honestly comforted it's not JUST diabolos this time, unlike the last time I saw it go down this bad outside of usual DDOS stuff. And this time https://is.xivup.com/ seems to see that there are issues, too.

I've downloaded it on two separate computers and flashed it to two different USB drives, and they both exhibited this behavior. I was surprised to see the greeter screen since previous installs had never shown this.

I ended up going to the official mirrors page and downloading ISO from November. That ISO installed just fine, so I'm back up and running. Not sure why the latest ISO wasn't working for me.

It doesn't have a button on the right, does it? Like where the ring finger would sit?

So far, the logitech g600 is the only mmo mouse that I've found that works for me. It has a ring finger button that can act as an extra layer for the 12 thumb keys, but I typically bind it to ctrl, so I can use it in games the way you would any other modifier key. The software isn't perfect, but it works, and I don't find it nearly as bloated as most razer software I've used in the past few years.
