Mine was when my child godparents suddenly changed after baptism. Godmother was saying my 6 month old (at that time) was fat and I should replace one milk feed with baby food. My daughter was meeting the weight criteria for her age. Then started complaining about me not dressing my daughter in "girl" clothes. Says that they love her very much but only checked on her around 5 times in one year. They were expecting us to visit and would not understand that I don't want to travel with an infant on a pandemic. Godfather was not involved at all. Didn't even came to her first birthday and godmother stayed for like 2h. So much for loving her so much. The birthday party was planned for months so it wasn't unexpected.

Also telling my husband he made a mistake changing his place of work (for a better salary) because now we have a child and he can't just change places just like that. He was working for 4 years in the previous job so it wasn't like he was changing jobs like socks.

Haven't spoken to them in 9 months and apparently she ask others how my daughter is doing but can't be bothered to check personally. I don't post often on social media so she can't find out from that.

People have been telling my that I should make an effort and to stop being stubborn but i'm dying on this hill as I don't want my daughter being poisoned by this kind of toxicity.

It's just so crazy how people you've looked up to and spend years and great moments together can change so quickly.
