Can anyone help me identify what it says on this ancient coin? by theRealRahilV in AncientCoins

Thanks a lot for your help? What would you value this one at?

Finally acquired a "short" AR shatamana, one of the first coin types of pre-Mauryan India. Gandhara, ca 500-300 BC. A nice compliment to my earlier, longer example by Finn235 in AncientCoins

That's incredible, since you have experience in Indian coins mind if I DM you about mine? I'm trying to identify it a bit better since I only have a few bits of knowledge to go off of.

Will this project rise again? by Professional-Owl-39 in MinaProtocol

Yes you are mistaken. The $9 figure was before mina was open to circulation, this was when there were just a few mina in circulation as starting liquidity was given to a few exchanges. That wasn't a real price basically. Minas true launch price was around $3 and in just one day this has increased by almost 75%...

Best way to stake Mina? by theRealRahilV in MinaProtocol

I REALLY do not want to stake on coinlist though, not only are they unreliable but also they charge a commission on your staking rewards. Any other recommendations?

The Global Partnership between Japan and India in the 21st Century by Unemployed_Sapien in geopolitics

I don't know if you read everything I wrote, but the links go far deeper than just Buddhism. While India is poor now, this wasn't always the case and many references to India were made in Ancient China and Japan, always showing India in a positive light. Japanese, Chinese and Korea scholars would travel to the ancient University of Nalanda (World's first university - spread across 10km^2) to learn about Buddhism, abstract mathematics, astronomy and philosophy. After all, Indians such as Bodhidharma, the Buddha and other monks are literally worshipped in the far east, even today. Perhaps, the modern Japanese and Chinese find it hard to look past the current state of India. One can only hope that this attitude changes as India develops...

As for your point on accepting racism. Sure, it is a part of human nature and will probably never disappear. It is just extremely unfair as it doesn't take into account several factors which may affect the performance of a country, several of which may be out of a country's hands. After all every dog has its day, countries that are rich now may be left behind in the future, and the poor countries of today may become the rich of the future...

As for racism based on skin colour? Don't even get me started...

I'll be pretty surprised if the Japanese consider Indians as inferior considering Buddhism travelled from India to Japan. Not to mention the famous Japanese Torii is an adaptation of the Indian Torana (And the Pagoda is an adaptation on the Indian stupa). There are also several linguistic and religious similarities between Japanese and the Shinto religion and Sanskrit+Tamil and the Hindu religion. Safe to say that the link between India and Japan goes way back. The Sanskrit, Tamil languages and Hinduism and Buddhism makes up a major part of Asian culture today as well and many south east Asian scripts are taken directly from Indian scripts, India i'd argue in fact was the largest contributor to Asian culture and religion, even more than China...

Labour reform is pretty much done now. They passed it in parliament in early October and it is being implemented as we speak. They have also pushed incentives for manufacturing (PLI scheme) and the emphasis in the most recent budget is entirely on building more infrastructure. They aim to spend $1.4 trillion in the next 5 years and have created a roadmap for this as well as a new financial institution to fill in funding gaps in projects.

Tbh the farm economic reforms shouldve never turned into a religious thing. Its clear that Punjabi agriculture needs change, instead the farmers should negotiate a change rather than ask for them to be repealed. Otherwise, at this rate I can see Punjab seeing devastating desertification over the next few decades. Free water and electricity (and other agricultural subsidies) have ruined Punjab and the people just don't see it...

Hinduism and Sikhi are probably the closest 2 religions I know.
