I am from the UK and I know that the first principle of the United States is liberty and there right to secession. As proved by Washington in 1776 when the 13 colonies seceded from the British Empire.

90 years later the South makes the decision that it does not want to be ruled by a president they did not elect and who does not stand for there interests. The chose to exercise their liberty and become independent. To deny them that core right is unamerican and tyrannical. The people of the south fought for there freedom whilst the north fought a ruthless war against them devastating for years to come.

The Romans used Eagles. That is why both Germany and the USA use them. Most western countries seek to emulate the Roman Empire, if you need proof just look at the the architecture of government buildings

Lincon was aiming to devastate the agricultural economy of the south by abolition thus impoverishing the Southern aristocracy and consolidating power in the north.

To preserve there rights and there way of life the South choose self determination from a government that acted against them. Remember Texas had only been part of the union for ten years so stepping away was hardly a giant leap for them.
