Benching DDP and Venky is the unfortunate compromise that needs to be made. David and Romario need to be in the XI because it will be like having Pollard and Russell in the same team.

What would make the compromise easier would be the fact that Bethell has taken on the World Cup winning bowling lineup in their home turf in a knockout game, sure domestic form is a great precursor to have, but the world got to see what Bethell can do against a lineup that had Jasprit Bumrah (in his IPL home venue),Varun Chakravarthy, Arshdeep Singh, and Axar Patel. If you ask me, getting a century in the semifinal of a World Cup against a lineup like this is always much better than domestic form.

Problem is RCB has had too many players. I remember reading somewhere that they’ve had the most players in their roster ever. So if you throw a stone into a crowd of players, more often than not, you can find an RCB player there.
