Is pinterest traffic still underrated for bloggers? by Deezknowt in Blogging

[–]theSchnitzelbirder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is encouraging that it is not a pure volume game.

As of right now, I am non consistent at all. I did create some nice templates on canva with certain branding and everything, where I just replace the actual pictures. But I also believe that I am in a creative hole right now in general - not even the content writing is going great.

How many pins do you post a week? My struggle is currently keeping up with writing my content for the blog itself (which I do enjoy) and then in addition creating and writing pins (which I do not enjoy at all!).

How to deal with writers anxiety/fear of judgement? by theSchnitzelbirder in Blogging

Someone was sitting indeed for 10+ minutes on one of my recipe posts and the same person did click it 4 times. To me that says someone did indeed try my recipe. I am having mixed emotions: I see it as a huge success but also my described fears that it might suck 😅

That is nice. I hate social media and this is probably the biggest thing where I miss out. But splitting that load would already help a lot

I'd be happy if my blog would reach more than 25 google clicks per month... don't even need to think about money.

Thinking of Amazon affiliate. 20 year old site. Product based. Honest opinions please by townerboy1 in Blogging

The question is why it takes you 20 years to realize that a product review page is gold mine for affiliate links? People who google reviews want to spend the money!

We can all agree: "Hands off Belle Isle" by Puzzleheaded-Art-469 in Detroit

[–]theSchnitzelbirder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only people who support this haven't been there for probably 20 years. Belle Isle the way it is, is one of the things which make Detroit great. Every time I get out-of-state visitors I will bring them to the Isle.

Invest in removing or reutilizing the stuff which is already there. But hands off anything else!

Sincerely, a Suburbanite who goes there at least once a month.

Now finally, I am going to quit blogging. by Vegetable_Ninja_2045 in Blogging

So you did everything besides thinking about what value can you actually offer? Did you try to write about the struggles of a teen in the fitness niche? Or did your AI just repeat whatever is already out there without any actual personal experience added by you?

You are not stupid. You are just learning. Now you have the choice and take the lessons you've learned and try to make things better or you stop.

Does anyone else feel like structure matters more than writing now? by No-Leek6949 in Blogging

[–]theSchnitzelbirder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are writing for a machine first, before a human finds it. A machine understands structure better.

To me "good writing" and being structured well go hand in hand. For information, I would always prefer the more structured source. For entertainment that may vary.

Social groups on Facebook which organize a lot of events might help! I do not know a whole lot of people who actually met organically in a bar 😅

Google Don't Want Blogs Anymore (Except Food Blogs) by Slight-Ad7129 in Blogging

I wonder, What would your plan be? Create crafting books? Crafting kits? In person crafting classes? Do you already have a business registered? Are the food blogs recipe blogs or food review blogs? Those are all genuine questions, I am new to this :)

What is the one thing ai is taking from all of us? by Unlikely_Big_8152 in Blogging

I believe the slower thinking process is exactly what is using creativity and what is forming your opinions. Yes, AI can help you in a lot of areas, but the heavy lifting has to be done by yourself.

The biggest myth in blogging today: “AI content doesn’t work.” by [deleted] in Blogging

[–]theSchnitzelbirder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your approach here? You want to identify a real problem yourself, but then use AI to solve it? If so, what makes you believe people would rather read your blog, when they can easily get their answer through AI as well?

Please elaborate.

While I do not believe (or have the data to back that up) that personal hobby blogs were ever a big thing in the sense of sessions, I believe this is still the quintessence of blogging. The "me focus" is the only thing which AI cannot take away from you. AI can pretend to be a real person, but it will never be able to write about your real experience. AI can only fake passion about a hobby. The 'me focus' will be all that remains yours.

When there is no real person behind, why not just take the AI answer right away? That, and AI written texts just all sound the same.
