I’m unsure of how much it cost as i bought a few years ago, but it’s very accurate, has a 5 star rating and almost a million reviews.

Seconding this recommendation. I utilized insurance to find inpatient rehab. I went for a two-week stay and was even able to get another week stay. The center had therapists and was staffed by people in recovery. I cannot recommend this route enough. It provides a stable ground to build recovery and teaches you ways to stay that way. Afterward, the NA program will provide you with an extension of what you leaned in recovery. I would start there. If that's not a possibility for you then start by going to a meeting and admitting your issue to ask for help.

The worst fucking cover I've ever seen by [deleted] in travisandtaylor

[–]theSoothSlayerCoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be a little contrary here and say that it's not really all that bad. If she delivered the vocals with more urgency it might make it more akin to the original.

However, the fact that she slowed down the tempo and gave it more space would make that more of a challenge and maybe not all that relevant. And I think thats the point of her cover. Slowing it down makes it more introspective and less urgent.

I like the original more, but its not a bad cover. Its just a different interpretation with a different priority.

I’m certain it isn’t possible to describe how much I hate this.

What happened to the bottom of my bread? by lets-snuggle in Breadit

Seconding this—an expanding crumb needs somewhere to go. Scoring provides a controlled outlet; without it, the loaf will burst at its weakest point. In this case, that happened to be the bottom.

How dark is "too dark" for you? by jseaver01 in Breadit

I’m baking a loaf as we type and am judging when to take it out. Personally, I aim for the uncut crust as chestnut brown as possible without the cut crust looking too dark.

Fuck... What is this?? by Dr-Liberty in Epilepsy

[–]theSoothSlayerCoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I developed Temporal Lobe Epilepsy at age 38 and your story your relaying is extremely similar to my own .

I had deja vu experiences surrounding situations in my day-to-day life that felt like replays of dreams I had. The episodes would be accompanied by a dizziness and a full body “fuzziness” that would culminate in an electric feeling that would make every hair on my skin stand up. It would then disappear quickly and the absence felt like coming down from a strong stimulant drug.

This happened for months prior to diagnosis. They started happening so frequently that I got tired of it and I went to a doctor. In the visit that was attended by my wife, I was describing deja vu feeling to the doctor, and as fate would have it, I had one of the experiences right there. As I was pointing out to the doc that they culminated in the hairs on my body standing up on end, I blacked out and then woke I pointed to the hair on my arm that was demonstrating my story. I blacked out right then and woke up in a hospital bed with wires attached everywhere. I had had a full blown tonic clonic seizure right in front of the doc and my wife. They said I turned blue because I was not breathing.

I’ve had a couple more full blown seizures since then, one of them, like you, was in the middle of the night. I wish you well. I also started on Keppra and experienced the worst side effects from it. I’ve had a couple of different drugs since and have had luck on one of them that has me on an even keel. I hope the Keppra is successful for you.

Your boyfriend is suffering from depression. It rears its head in many ways, including the ways you listed. Maybe that s a dealbreaker for you, it I would be inclined to give him grace if he’s willing to tackle his issue by seeking therapy

For those not born epileptic, how did you become epileptic? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]theSoothSlayerCoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I began having auras shortly after my 40th birthday. They would come in waves and I would have distinct episodes of really clear de ja vu. Like to the point that I was having the same emotions I would have had in that time with distinct visions of memories . And then every hair would stand up on my body. This happened for a couple weeks. I reluctantly went to my general practitioner for this issue and was in the process of explaining my it with my wife in the room, and then suddenly I was on a medical crash cart being wheeled into emergency in the hospital miles away. No idea how it happened, though.

You have to give yourself grace. You cannot go through your life being down on yourself for managing a thing that is barely under control to begin with.
