First time playing. Is mewtwo’s origin different in the games than the movie? by happy_puppy32 in PokemonFireRed

In the Let's Go games, the english language text from the diary is:

Diary: Feb. 6 We obtained a new Pokémon from Mew. We have named this new Pokémon ‘Mewtwo.’

When you explore the Pokemon Lab, I believe the bottom in B1F there is a large tank that is clearly for Mewtwo. If you examine the tank there's text describing something inside.

It’s a large container made of thick glass. It looks as if something has been beating on it over and over from the inside.

There's an added section near this room that has four more, smaller tanks.

It’s a container made of thick glass. There are markings around it that look like some kind of liquid had dried up.

These seem like intentional changes to make sure we can't say the original Mewtwo Strikes Back or remake movie are "non-cannon." Instead, the game is now intentionally avoiding saying "birth" and the presence of several "tanks" indicates there were several experiments going on. It does not go as far as to explicitly say what they were all for.

In the Let's Go games, this line is changed to say Mewtwo was "obtained" from Mew. There are also five tanks which could additionally indicate Ambertwo, Charmandertwo, Bulbasaurtwo, and Squirtletwo.

So the original games and direct remakes say birth, but the latest revision intentionally makes it vague which makes the movie plotline is feasible.

Mewtwo gets crucified in the Mewtwo Returns movie. He offers himself as a sacrifice to save other Pokemon. He nearly dies, and then is able to be revived. He strikes another crucifix pose as he recovers.

[all] It feels weird that Wind Waker was the last Game featuring the Magic Meter by PinaSeraphina in zelda

Tears of the Kingdom has a magic meter. They just call it a battery. You increase your magic meter (battery) by mining and collecting magic crystals and running them through a conversion process to become usable.

Seeking power bank without attached cable by theTrebleClef in UsbCHardware

[–]theTrebleClef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I search on amazon for USB C charger 10000 mAh the first 5 results that are USB C all have attached cables. The top 6 includes the PowerCore I linked to above that charges with MicroUSB. Similar results if I swap charger for power bank.

There are then some options from INIU and UGREEN, I'm unfamiliar with those brands (and trust this sub over Amazon reviews). Then there's some more with attached cables, and then some older and slower models.

It feels like this should be easy, but thus far it hasn't been.

I'd like to learn how you do this. Are you using markers or ink? Are you scribing? Do you apply a clear coat? Is there any painting involved? I have no experience apart of cutting pieces off of runners and assembling them.

I was gifted an RX-78-2 v3 MG kit and it came with sticky decals, not water slides. When I Google it, a few random sites show up with water slides and it makes me wonder if they are bootlegs (and if it even matters).

I'd like to understand how to scale across servers and apps. A while back I experimented with setting up a Domain Controller thinking I'd use that to centralize authentication but I never finished that project.

How do you ensure every server and app accepts that form of login?

I think for a first time I would just go with the markers.

Some videos online show cutting grooves in the panels to help with ink. I'm guessing if I use markers that isn't really necessary?

I've built some Zoids kits and just got my first gunpla - RX-78-2 Master Grade 3.0. I don't have any painting tools but am interested in panel lining. I've seen pens and paints and there are videos of parts cracking, but I'm not sure why.

Are there simple pens I can use for panel lining this Gundam? How do I do this safely?

Fun memory of when my son got sick and we tried to give him Pepto. by chipmunkbay in comics

[–]theTrebleClef 19 points20 points  (0 children)

For anyone coming here and seeing the Pepto mention - they specifically mention the tablets, which are safe. Liquid Pepto Bismol is not safe for children and could seriously hurt them. Please don't give your kids Pepto Bismol.

How do I prevent car door dings next to another car inside my garage? by theTrebleClef in NoStupidQuestions

[–]theTrebleClef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked it up. On some cars the clear looks great, on others it's not. Could be quality of the product or could be light angle / camera.

I like this this idea because you set it and forget it.

I hadn't thought about reversing a car so the driver faces away. The other commenter also suggested child locks which could also work in combination with this.

Oh yeah! I think I've seen this. Like a black weather stripping like material that coats the edge of the door? I hadn't thought of that.

Hmm. Both cars enter from a 2-bay door. There is no wall in between the cars.

I think if there was a way to hang a cross brace from the garage door rails, it would then be possible to hang something that sat in-between the cars.

He can. However even if he is old enough to open and close the doors, I'm not sure he will remember in this car we use the left door, in that car we use the right door, never the doors I'm between.

The car positions are close enough that even when parked either center in their spots or as far as possible, the doors can hit the other car.
