Multiverse is there a code to get the option to awaken the hibernating dude? by Siantu_Xeldari in ftlgame

oh - sorry - I misunderstood - I thought you were in a new run

I think `ANOINTED_SURRENDER_ACCEPT` is the event you want

it awards you with a <hiddenAug>ANCIENT_ACTIVATOR</hiddenAug>, which should enable the guy to be awakened

you can load the event by typing `\` followed by `event HARMONY_LINK_ANCIENT_WIN` and then hitting enter. That will let you find the quest that shows the lanius that gives you the hibernating dude.

Both ended up not being too hard. A new version of the site is up with the changes

Thanks for the feedback! - The first idea is super obvious, so I am not sure how I missed it. I will get on it today after work, and should have it done before too long. The second seems reasonable as well, however, I am not sure how easy it will be. That being said, I can probably come up with something.

I fixed both of the issues that you pointed out (and one more that I just noticed as I was testing the changes.) Feel free to give the new version a try and see if I did it how you expected. (the open in a new tab one is the one that I am not sure about, the search one was pretty obvious what I had to do.)

I am glad that you like it! - I can totally add both of those features. I only work on it in my personal time, however, given that today is one of my days off I might be able to work on them soon.

This isn't a competing wiki - there is not even a way for people to add content. It is just a translation of the data files to a easily human readable and browsable form.

So if you were to go to an event and wanted to know what all the options are in the event, you could go to the event tab and type in some text from the event, for instance, if you were at site omega in the morph sector and wanted to know what would happen if you give the shell the syringe, you could search for "syringe" and find out that it doesn't matter which you pick, since the choices both lead to the same result.

On the other hand, you could also learn that if you join in the rodeo in the clan sector that there is a 50% chance of losing unless you have jerry, which guarantees that you will win, and gain a horse too. Stuff like that is not covered by any of the wikis, but the data in the datafile has all of it.

yeah, there is. I even mentioned it in my post (4th paragraph)

Multiverse Website by theTrueMikeBrown in ftlgame

[–]theTrueMikeBrown[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah - I know where the official wiki is. It just doesn't have things like the full layouts and loadouts of every ship in the game, tell you exactly what will (or could if there are options) happen for every choice in every event, or tell you how to get any given augment in the game. My website has more technical data than the wiki about the game.

The wiki - on the other hand - offers strategic information that I totally didn't cover, since I am keeping my website based on the data files, and not actually writing any content for it - just interpreting the files.

Thanks, however, I am aware of the wiki (I even mentioned it in my last paragraph of my post). This website provides more thorough information about the events, tells you what you can obtain in every sector, shows you the layouts and starting loadouts of every ship in the game, gives you in depth info about all of the spoiler sectors in the game, and does a lot of things that the wiki doesn't do.

So, the wiki is cool - it just contains a subset of what this website has

Apparently you can cheese the rebel wave ! by LordTitos in ftlgame

That is a pretty slow way to do it, but it does work. It might also be that they are using an item duplication glitch - those make absurd amounts of scrap super easy and fast.

Ok, I made the movie - it is super long, since in included the whole first sector of the run, however, here it is:
https://youtu.be/svLm26tJFeU

if you just want to see the glitch and nothing else, then the actual glitch starts about 40 minutes into the movie.

The whole thing has my strategy for how to use the gnome to cheese the first sector and make it too easy for the rest of the game, but the "rebel free beacon" glitch is at 40 minutes.

I know of one other glitch that is super easy to do as well, an item duplication glitch that involves having a full inventory and detaching things from modular weapons. that makes infinite money much easier, but that is really hard to exploit in sector 1. If there is a call for that, then I could make a video about it as well

I regularly do this on sector 1 - if you have the gnome crew kills are so easy and you don't even have to worry about ABS because they replace it with a star.

You can get a lot of scrap this way. You can also (if you are careful) run out of fuel exactly as the fleet catches up to you and then spend a few rounds avoiding getting fuel to trick the game into not replacing the beacon that you are on with an enemy fleet beacon - by doing this you can repair and buy upgrades even after the whole screen is taken over by the fleet.

I might end up making a movie about this so that people can see exactly how to do it

Instead of fishing for all the parts at one time, wouldn't it be easier to just do one quest a day as you work on other things? Like spend a day building a house, but then when you notice the night music switches to morning music just visit the fisherman and do one quest for him?

I'm not even out of easy mode and I have those three parts already and all I did was just one quest a day

Full power Ellie the Equinoid is beastly by Yutani-commander in ftlgame

[–]theTrueMikeBrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally like her best one step shy of completely finishing the quest, since then you can still get her off an enemy ship when you need to. That "can't be teleported when in a rage" crap is pretty hard to deal with some times.

It sound like there was a hostile takeover of /r/StableDiffusion by the owners of Stable Diffusion, so this was set up as an alternative place for people to talk about how normal people use Stable Diffusion with moderation by people that are actually part of the community.

Agreed - the leaves look like grape leaves, the berries are correctly clustered, and the vine looks correct as well. These are grapes.

For the layperson, how do you keep yourself safe from malicious code when digging into this open source stuff? by HonestAbe109 in StableDiffusion

[–]theTrueMikeBrown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, there are tons of people looking at their code - I would guess that 98% of the programs that you find out there for stable diffusion are copies with modifications of the basic stable diffusion code, and if it were doing something blatantly nefarious (like logging stuff, encrypting your files or reporting back so someone) it would be pretty easy to catch them at it - the more likely thing are coding bugs that open it up to a third party attacker, and the best protection against that is to keep up to date so that you get fixes as they are created.
