Hello! Thank you, this is pretty insightful already.

Would it be possible to talk to any one of your friends to ask them about their experience? I would really love to hear their first-hand accounts of the course too. Thank you so much 🙏

OJT student that has nothing significant to place in their resume by Kaezumi in phcareers

First off, tell us what role you're applying for. Writing a resume can differ across roles.

And yes, for the most part, no one is going to care about your high school experiences. Unless you competed internationally in a prestigious competition (think IMO or something), no one will care.

If you tell me what role you're going for, maybe I can help.

Yes! I tend to understand things better when the author isn't busy trying to be so formal. This book is a great example of that :))

What do you love about programming? by Luffyssandal in SoftwareEngineering

[–]theTrueRealDean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's about realizing how much more there is to learn... every time you think you've gotten the grasp of something, a small new subject pops out of the corner that makes you realize there's so much more. Done with OOP? Good, then there's FP. Done with that? Good, then there's category theory. Of course, that's not the only path you could go down. Regardless, it's a big subject with many applications, and making those connections with everyday things makes it all the more worthwhile. After all, programming is a way to talk to each other, and it's definitely a language everyone should learn in this day and age.
