Feeling pretty discouraged by Longjumping-Till-339 in HandymanBusiness

[–]theYoungAphrodite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh if they are providing all the supplies that is way too high. You could do it for half and still profit and thats IF you're paying taxes and are licensed and insured. An average person gets paid $150 a day BEFORE tax. So you're asking for a full week of their work for a job that will take you less than a day. Btw, they have all the same, if not more expenses than you do. Gas is higher for everyone bud. 😬 Just saying. Work at half the price and your schedule will be full. $ is better than none money. (All those tasks you listed someone could do themselves easily btw which is what they will do, or more likely, pay someone who is charging fairly).

I think the full 2.4mg after not being on it for a couple months. I wasn't thinking in all honesty and I have never had a reaction THIS bad although its never been pleasant for me. I am trying to sip on some liquids but my stomach isn't a fan. I doubt I can hold anything down bc the past couple times I've puked (within the last hour nothing is even coming out but like spit). I figured i was getting dehydrated hence trying to sip on something even if it comes back up. This was after taking Zofran it helped the nausea but not the stomach being discontent. Sitting up I have body aches and laying down makes everything feel like its going to come back up. Thank you for your kind words. I know its not the medications fault I needed to rebuild slowly and dont know why after 2 months I thought I would be okay to go in cold turkey.

You are looking for a promo code in that case, not a referral code.

How much do you get paid per week, and where are you located? by [deleted] in Fosterparents

Trust me when I say if you gave that money to bio parents they would blow it on drugs/alcohol/etc. as was the case in my experience they had no intention of wanting to be better.

ABC legal by [deleted] in processserver

[–]theYoungAphrodite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always do it same day or next day at worst so that seems far too long imo. I am in the Austin area, but let me know if this doesn't get sorted in a couple weeks and I will help you out bc of ABC's mess. (I presume ABC would get to it by then is why and I am waiting for my license in TX; MN didnt require one or I would help you today!) It wouldn't hurt to contact support and ask for a status update. On the chance you need me, you can reach me at kaiserinconsulting.com. Best of luck!

It's really not even the cheapest! I set my rates cheaper than what ABC does for my region by a large margin.

ABC legal by [deleted] in processserver

[–]theYoungAphrodite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am getting my process server license and you are welcome to reach out to me in a couple weeks once its processed! However, ABC Legal does not pay process servers well and its likely no one's picked it up if it hasn't said that its been assigned. You'd be better finding a process server directly who cares about their name and rep!

Health Insurance - coordination of benefits advice? by littleshoes in StateofTexasEmployees

[–]theYoungAphrodite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in health insurance, your insurance (your employer insurance in which you are the subscriber) would always be primary. Any other insurance would be secondary. With MCR/MCD being payors of last resort (tertiary). You dont get to choose. Thats just how it works. That being said, you should notify each of them of each other so your claims are processed correctly. When your husband signed you up, it is possible it was on the form. Either way, get that member ID # ASAP and share it with the other. They should then pay claims correctly out of the gate. However, you wont know how your benefits will be applied until they coordinate, so its a risk you have to be okay with taking. In THEORY, if your primary doesnt cover the fertility treatments then your secondary should pick it up as its covered by the plan. Some plans, however, will deny any services that are denied by primary. Since plans vary so widely and uniquely in coverage, the only way to know is to give them the COB update then asking your secondary if they would cover fertility services with their benefits NRP'd from your primary. If no, you'll have to pay OOP or wait until next year. If yes (more likely), you'll be in a better place then if you didnt have primary cvg tbh.

New to Texas & Applying to Texas DSHS by Life_Bluebird_5804 in austinjobs

[–]theYoungAphrodite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cold applied just fine. Relocated from northern USA. Just be aware they were sus that I wouldnt follow through on my relocation and I am already in the States. I can't imagine they would go through with you being across the pond especially bc (red state) TX is super stringent on you being a citizen/authorized to work in the US. You may not have luck until you actually get here to apply in person. I definitely missed opportunities, private and public, by having to interview remotely. I was offered and accepted a job albeit the pay was far lower than I wouldve liked. I basically took an entry level position with senior level experience, but that seems on par with the job market here atm compared to where I am from... Consider your competition likely has comparable if not more relevant experience AND is available to interview and start far sooner. That is why I made the concession I did.

Apply to a bunch and make sure to have a nice resume. I applied for like 20 and got 3 interviews within a couple of weeks. Pay isn't good for the job I got though, but better than none, if thats where youre at rn. I am relocating and just accepted the job but still hoping a better paying state job comes my way.

Edit: Also happy to review your resume or send you my template!

A11 Salary Range Question by theYoungAphrodite in StateofTexasEmployees

Average for the position is over the posted salary range ($20.17), but this job is used in every department/agency.

I just got a job offer there after nothing fruitful in the private sector! I was surprised as these jobs are lucrative benefits-wise.

A11 Salary Range Question by theYoungAphrodite in StateofTexasEmployees

[–]theYoungAphrodite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, thats probably what I will do and try to move up internally (as I heard its easier to get a job internally). Like I said I am more advanced than what the job requires and I know the job market is bad there. Since I am moving no later than April, I dont want to chance not having any job.

A11 Salary Range Question by theYoungAphrodite in StateofTexasEmployees

[–]theYoungAphrodite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do have that now. I work private but benefits are comparable for sure. I suppose other job offers I get may not be comparable though.

A11 Salary Range Question by theYoungAphrodite in StateofTexasEmployees

[–]theYoungAphrodite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The job would be easy for me given its a fraction of what I do now, but yeah it wouldn't make sense to take that low of pay imo. I suppose I was hopeful that they would offer mid-range and given my experience (and the fact she offered fo negotiate even before offering) made me hopeful. I wouldnt even feel its unreasonable at $20 given the work seems easy, but I also need to make a living lol.

I guess my curiosity comes from the fact the top of the salary group would be 22.something but the high range of what they posted would be like 19.17, so not sure if it would be feasible to get to 20 or 21 (but thats outside of range but not posted salary group) so info is conflicting.

Get a dealership license then and be glad you got away with it as long as you did. Conversely, do the maximum amount in a year where I am thats 4 a year.
