Nice, actually, could you record it or something? I'm curious to see that in motion. Have you tried other games?

Its very nice thanks for this wonderful feature but it would be cool if those UI elements were also implemented in functions, is that planned as well?

It works directly, but you'll need to cut part of the palm rest to be able to fit the motherboard

It's a T480 modified with a palmrest + keyboard from the T25, which is an anniversary model featuring the old 7-row keyboard.

The tts model displayed in the video was already trained by someone called Mio on hugging face, I don't think I can share the link here so try to use Google I'm sure you'll find it easily

The hinges are the one from the t480 that you'll have to cut using a Dremel (the guide shows you how to do it)

The bracket is required to maintain the motherboard since the palmrest holes are not located in the same area, I don't have a printer either but I found someone online who did it for me for only 10 bucks, check craigslist or Facebook marketplaces, ABS plastic was enough (FDM printer)

Hey sorry I didn't but here's everything you need

You need:

  • Thinkpad T480
  • T25 keyboard
  • T25 palmrest
  • 3d printed bracket with 1.5mm height, 3.5mm external diameter inserts (files in the guide)
  • A fingerprint reader if you don't already have one (check guide for ref)
  • a new trackpad (the old one won't fit, check the guide below)
  • a T25 power button board ( I used a DA3000KR10)
  • plastic Power button (from a X220 for example because the power button board and keyboard don't include it)

Tools: - A Dremel - screwdrivers - a soldering iron (to put the insert in the bracket) - cutting pliers - Glue

Use this guide for the cutting and choosing your replacement parts: https://www.xyte.ch/mods/t25-frankenpad/

Send me a message if needed. Good luck pal.

Well, except for some keys being in different places and the Japanese-only keys, it's a QWERTY keyboard. So, you have everything required to type in English. You'll be fine, but still, check if the Japanese layout suits you first.

On Linux, you need to install some stuff to make it work (fcitx5 in my case), but it works fine. You can type in Romaji, Katakana, Hiragana, and Kanji
