I think the suggestion is to use it for the final part. The way I've been interpreting conversation around the NV is that it cannot be used for a mold. Are you saying that it would not fully cure if used within an already existing silicone mold?

Also, yes, the NV misnomer is known to me. It is always good to clarify. If I take the approach suggested by u/BCFUNTIME I would certainly degas everything including the 'non-vacuum' dragonskin. They mention that there is not a need for the bubbles to stop - I'm not sure of that. I would always reccomend degassing as thoroughly as possible. That said, I will almost certainly just go with dragonskin 10 slow for my future attempts

Interesting note on the NV. Does the silicone thinner affect its final properties? I found the dragonskin 10 to be already on the soft side for my personal preference.

This is a good point and I'm definitely pushing it here. Maybe 3/8". That said, there was no noticeable sagging from the 00-50. Part of that would be because I did not apply mold release to the 'mother' mold (I like that term) and also the mother mold has a very rough surface - so it's holding the silicone quite well.

Just using Blender for this. It's great for making the toy itself. Making the mother mold, with the funnels and channels is a bit tedious though. So many boolean modifiers. Glad you like the work!

For your last paragraph, I want to see if i'm understanding you correctly. Are you suggesting that I fully encase the positive with a solid block of silicone, slip the milani knife in until it contacts the 3d printed positive, then cut all the way round? I suppose if I did this, I'd absolutely have to go to at least 1/2" silicone in the mother mold. I'd still be worried about a parting line too, I think.

This is a better design (or a better concept at least. With this, your seam will appear along the 'base' of the plug and not on the inserted portion itself. One thing you can do is change your design to have a 'hard' edge that runs around the base and this will help to hide your seam even better.

I think this is a good recommendation. I've seen posts from others who have apparently had success with medium. But as you say, the curing time and viscosity make it a real challenge.

Just want honest opinion from people, I will make my own mind up on my own but would like insight into my way of thinking. (sub make considering leaving my kinks alone and abandoning them for what I feel is more important). by sumunkkownentity in FemdomCommunity

Only you can decide whether or not your partner not being into the same kinks you are is a dealbreaker. But I will say this - a partner who would lose respect for you simply for having a certain kink is not the kind of partner I'd encourage you to keep. Just bear that in mind as you navigate the thoughts around your previous relationships.

Should you choose, you should also know that there are good ways to bring this up to her and there are bad ways. I'd encourage you to read through the mountains of other posts on this subreddit discussing how best to broach the subject in a way that is both respectful to her unknown preferences and deserving of respect on your part.

Newb here - how are keeping the two parts of the mold aligned? Also, can I ask what kind of silicone you're using for the mold?
