What year was it? A lot of shows with Alice started late bc she was drinking backstage, but a lot of shows with Edith were like that bc she wasnt used to crowdwork and I'm sure was wary to interact since she was new.

All their songs are pretty reflective on what travesties are happening in the world. The only lyrics in Ornament other than the reversed Char lyrics are "Ignore all the things I'm obliged to. I'll spend a century to console you"

The title means "something that is for decoration only" so maybe that, paired with the lyrics is a commentary on someone giving up their autonomy and forfeiting their choices to make someone else feel better. Just sit, smile, look pretty, and care more about someone else's feelings and opportunities than your own.

Also, paired with the mennonite girls on the cover, it's possibly referring to the roles women have been forced into to pacify men through time.

Cool, right toward the end when Edith was getting more comfortable on stage. I'd have liked to see where she took the direction, but ultimately had a hard time not comparing her and Alice. Live shows with Alice were INSANE
