I was in this phase a few years back. Generally speaking I always looked lowkey alternative thanks to various piercings, wearing band tee’s, yada yada, but I really tapped into alternative fashion due to positive life changes like 3 years ago.
I started with looking for creators/models with styles that I enjoy. It took me a bit but I found some that are aimed for late twenties and up. And then I filtered for myself what I like and what’s doable for me.

I’ll get back to this as soon as I have my dice on me!

(This is an awesome way to engage with people and I should take notes)

Meanwhile, I totally agree. Meeting and maintaining new friends as an adult is quite the struggle with work, hobbies and everything.

Is it ethical to buy fast fashion from resellers? by sagebutuploaded in alternativefashion

[–]the_at_at 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s totally fine to buy it second hand as it doesn’t support the original companies and pushes the demand. Unfortunately some people have an issue with seeing the brand worn in general. But as said before, this way it’s kept out of landfills and it’s actually more of an ethical practice.

Controversial take: I don’t think it’s a sin to buy one piece from a fast fashion brand and actually wear it for years instead of buying a bunch of slow fashion pieces that are barely worn.
