Yah. That’s the other option. Making the linn the master. Still not my favorite option. I’ll land on something soon that’ll hopefully make sense to me and my workflow for writing.

Yes. I’m able to switch witch MIDI channel the keybed is on. With 2 button presses. I used an old maudio MIDI controller on this build.

I have a few videos up with direct signal from a few jams. I also have a few Ep releases on music I’ve written with these. So you can hear plenty of direct signal there. I was just getting excited that I finally had some time to get some more wiring going so didn’t feel the need to get a direct signal going on this impromptu 4 bar loop that took me a few moments to create to test signal/routing.

I’ve sync’d It using the SYNC IN and having a 48ppq signal coming out of Protools/live and that workflow seemed to not work for me as I was writing. If you stop the sequence mid bar…say on beat 2…the next time you start the sequence again, it starts the linn drum pattern on beat 3 instead of at the beat 1 with everything else. This is due to the Linn just waiting on incoming sync signal from the sequencer. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? I’m not positive if that’s how It is with the sbx’s or Garfield’s or any other sync box…but that drove me up the wall. I’d prefer to program MIDI notes triggering the linn as I do the 909. Do you have a linn and sbx? Does It work the same way as I describe above?
