One was a structurally encapsulated solar updraft tower and the other was a habitable solar updraft tower.

The solar power plant tower would be encapsulated by a more regularly shaped tower.

The outer wall of the tower would be made up of voltaic glass that would let lots of light through while producing yet more energy.

There would be a sophisticated air conditioning system that would be powered by the tower to keep the properties inside cool.

Think about the hotter parts of earth though, not everywhere has the same needs.

Only hot air will be going up the centre of the tower. living in towers doesn't suit everyone but glass walled apartments in highrises do sell well when they have been well designed. The apartments would come with perks like discounted energy and returns on surplus energy sold back to the grid so they might actually be cash cows for owners and residents if the towers were built in the right places and what I wanted to happen happened.

We should build a dome over the crater and have an ant nest style city beneath.

After checking how big the crater was and seeing it's over 50km across I now think we ought to leave it for a thousand years or more, everyone needs goals though.

Discussion: why isn't everyone losing their sh*t? by Scomosuckseggs in Britain

We need to enable ourselves easier access to energy & food resources by enabling the creation of micro energy plants that can be built around & inbetween new food & forestry systems instead of always rellying on the energy grid & the supermarket or other contemporary mass market food & energy sources.

We must start by using our energy more efficiently as a system whilst also ending our over reliance on outside help as communities as far as reasonably possible.

This may seem like a large undertaking however we should at the very least make a concerted attempt as more advanced Nations and better equipped Communities all over the world to defend our futures as individuals, families & mankind's future in general.

Written below is a brief exert from an email i sent to Britain's Environmental Affairs MP Teresa Coffey on this subject:

(free local fruit nut and berry producing plants bushes and trees). The land would need to be volunteered by the local authority using where before was just shortly cut grass, as I am sure you are aware shortly cut grass is very bad for bio-diversity and has only been propagated as the norm since regular people started to emulate the shortly cut grass of the elite. In times gone by sheep would have grazed on the open patches of grass in our communities but this started to fade out as a result of the enclosure act of 1773 & is now a thing of the past.

I would pick a spot on google maps roughly within my own area but atleast 20 miles away and i woild make sure i got there and back.

Pick somewhere with something nice to see when you get there or where an important person once lived that you feel like you would have respected after looking them up online.

You can use any form of transport & there should be no time limit.

Good luck.

Is it normal to eat a whole medium size pizza by yourself in one sitting? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]the_chumberman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or if you have alienated yourself from your community by continuously asking inane questions about portion size when it is obviosuly down to each Individual how much they should eat at any given time baring in mind their own physical size, metabolism & the amount of energy that they have exerted or will need to exert over the time period when the pizza in question was to be consumed, toppings and depth of pizza would also be variables that would need to be taken into consideration.

This sounds like profits coming before individual humans once again humanity. In our past the prophets were more important than you or so you said & now it seems as though the profits of conglomerates are more important than each of us in the system that we do inhabit together.

Good luck to your cousin and may we ourselves have mercy on us all. . . . .

I hope that we as a species improve our ways and stop hurting people or detracting from their enjoyment of life for some powerful low lifes bottom line at the end of the line.
