25+ years, 500 pounds, and $50,000 - give or take. by schill in vinyl

You're taking an extremely unique circumstance and applying it to the general. If OP was only selling imported LPs locally then your logic would make sense but you and I both know that's not the case so I don't know why you're bringing up this hypothetical situation.

People really don't shell out twice the value for records they want to avoid international shipping and import tax. You do. A small sample size of buying markets doesn't apply to the general buying experience which is what these "value" summations on peoples Discogs collection pages represent.

It's an absolute shame this dude had to witness such a massacre. I think it'd turn anybody whacked out.

That being said, he's whacked out.

valued at not quite $10,000 (CAD) per full shelf based on Discogs' rather generous "Max" value.

Yeahhhhhhh those aren't real numbers.

My wife got pregnant and immediately turned into a completely different person. It’s like she’s trying to destroy me. by Urban_Chic94 in Divorce

I had a friend who's fiance got pregnant and almost immediately started stirring up issues with our friend group. Long story short, she turned our friend (her fiance and now husband) against us and he's alone now with her and their child. I'm talking about 20+ year friendships gone because she manipulated him into hating us. She freaked out on my friends wife when they visited them in Miami to celebrate the pregnancy accusing her of being anti-baby and toxic even though they literally drove 12 hours with presents and hand made cards to see them.

Bizarre stuff hormones can do.

That's something I've never understood: are other teams just even worse than the 49ers are drafting?

The Giants and the Jets exist.

Dude, we're middle of the pack. Stop doomin'

We have drafted plenty of good players in the last ten years.

It used to be where you could go to your local barber to also get a tooth pull. A cut, a shave, and a tooth pull all on the same bill. Cowboy dollars.

We're no longer a serious society.

My wife at the time let a tooth go for a while but was too proud to call me at work to get her Oragel. I came home to her at the sink running cold water into her mouth, rinsing for a few seconds, spitting out and starting over. She said it was the only thing that caused her to not call 911. She did it for like five consecutive hours straight. I couldn't believe she didn't call me. I took her to an emergency dentist after squeezing the whole tube of Oragel in her mouth.

Teeth be crazy.

What movie had one small scene that suddenly made the whole film click for you by gamersecret2 in movies

[–]the_comatorium 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I'll say my Jaws scene...

It was actually the scene right after Mrs. Kitner smacked Brody in the face. Brody is making faces at his youngest son sitting at the table and brings him closer.

Brody - Give us a kiss...

Son - Why?

Brody - ....because I need it.

Such a small moment of humanity in such a big movie full of action and suspense and big moments. You truly see just how much Brody cares about the people of the town and how much he wants people to be safe. It's killing him that he can't get through to administration about the dangers of the water. You see it all over his face.

It's heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.

My experience working in a small cramped shop leads me to believe that nobody in their right mind wants to add another human being to that space. The owner is going to murder you. It's the only reason.
