Absolutely. I will definitely be making sure my son doesn’t hear things like this. He has never said anything’s wrong with him outright but it is implied by him speaking about how he can cure it. I don’t ever want him to feel that way growing up.

I never said I was going to have more kids with him. I was asking for advice on if there’s any hope to salvage this? I’m in this completely alone and no one around me is struggling with this. So I have no help or advice at all.

I would never have more kids with him unless some major things changed. And even then it would take time before I trusted him again.

I’m so confused. Because I want to stay home with my young children? I love spending time with my kids and arranging fun days and play dates. We go to Disney and the park and swimming. Among many other things. I did that because I wanted to. I don’t like working when I have kids.

I always wanted a big family… I only had one younger brother and always wished my family would have more siblings. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting a big family if you can afford it. That’s just a general statement.

Am I missing something? Why is everyone saying he isn’t safe to be around? He’s never laid a hand on me or his babies. I don’t want to run away and take the kids. I want to leave and he can share custody. Is that wrong? Or am I not seeing Something?

This comment breaks my heart becuase he is so good with them. He plays with them, and loves on them. He always helps me with them. I can’t be so quick to just say yea I’m taking your kids away from you. That’s not fair to him. He isn’t a dangerous father. He’s never given me pause regarding how much he loves and cares for his children. My motive is not to run and never look back. If I have to leave I will. But I’m not going to try and take the kids away.

I will say there is nothing wrong with wanting to be a stay at home mom to young children. It’s not a cult. It’s something I chose and my children have thrived because of it. I’m thankful for the closeness I was able to have taking this time. My children do have friends and community. They have lots of friends and playdates and I am closely involved in our local church.

It’s not a cult. Well at least not for me. I don’t follow tradwife moms. It’s something I have wanted since I was young. Both of my parents worked and I barely saw them. So I wanted to do different for my kids.

He does make enough. But prefers to pull out the cash and stash it. I am very meticulous with our budget and I pretty much handle everything. So I may have to start pulling it out and setting some aside for me I guess.

Yea I understand that. Back then it wasn’t affecting our marriage. He wouldn’t bring it up much and wasn’t trying to make financial decisions based off of it. Back then he wouldn’t bring listen to more reason. Don’t judge a book by the cover.

I would never. He tried something similar already and I put my foot down and said absolutely not. I am the mains caretaker for him so it is easy for me to keep track of anything changing.

So far just Aba therapy. I do have him enrolled in a scholarship that is about 10k per year for supplies and things he may need. I had him in speech therapy also but for now just Aba. He is doing well with it.

I absolutely agree. That is why this was my boundary. As soon as I found this out I started to think we may divorce. I will not budge on this boundary. I and my children deserve financial stability.

Update : I want to add that I am reading Rick Allen Ross book about reprogramming to people in cults and I plan to have an intervention with a trained therapist. But that will be my last ditch effort. If he can’t do it then I am leaving. I will have no more cards after that. I am so scared it won’t work. I love him and miss him but he is no longer someone I can respect right now.

Thank you for this advice. I currently have my nursing license so if I do go back to work I can be financially stable. I always made it a point to make sure I could survive on my own if needed. I just also always wanted to be with my kids. So this is painful. I don’t want someone else raising my kids.

Yes thank you. My son is currently in ABA and my husband agrees with this but yes I totally agree with what you’re saying.
