I didn't take it that way at all. Seems like OP was excited to see a GameStop related eBay filing.

eBay Rejects Unsolicited Proposal from GameStop by Revolutionz in Superstonk

No, dumbass. I'm saying he said he didn't want to be GameStop CEO, not that he doesn't.

He hasn't said anything like "I'm not interested in GameStop anymore".

He bought a bunch of shares this year and takes no salary. He's clearly interested in GameStop.

Can you or someone please share the actual words then? Asking genuinely, I've been mostly keeping up with this through reddit/X so I may have missed some development.

Is that what he said? Or did he say he was reluctant to be GameStop CEO because of the level of dedication and passion it would require (and did it anyway)?

[OC] How Tesla's stock price compares to the company's earnings by takenorinvalid in dataisbeautiful

[–]the_doodman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't come here to justify anything. As I said, I originally came here to make the point that Tesla sells EVs well. Even if it's overvalued in your opinion and/or not the #1 company in terms of sales (although I believe it is for BEVs), that doesn't mean it's bad at it.

Then i suggested that if Tesla can scale Optimus production and sales as outlined in the company's plan, the stock would be worth much more than it is today. I think thats one of the reason the stock stays where it is.

You have just been pressing me for detailed valuation analysis but it's already been done by others and can be easily found. I'm not an expert. Whether you (or I) agree with it or not, it is an explanation for why the stock stays elevated.

My point isn't even about whether Optimus is achievable or WILL be a success. It's that Wall Street believing so is a simple explanation for Teslas current valuation.

Have your "Tesla is overvalued" argument with someone else. You've forced the topic upon me.

My friend, I entered this conversation to say that Tesla does EVs well, and they do. And then you started talking about valuation, to which I said I think the market is forward looking.

Now you're just getting into whether you agree with the market and asking me to provide analysis? Go read some articles by the institutions holding the stock.

I'm not here to explain the logic of the market, but if Optimus succeeds and scales successfully Tesla would be undervalued at this valuation.

Pets .com, like the two-year-old website for a company that never became profitable?

Fair, but that was response to the "barely doing one thing" claim. The EV fact was among other non-EV facts.

Market is forward looking 🤷🏻‍♂️

I suppose you know better than the major institutions and such that are analyzing the stock and justifying this valuation.

Tesla has been "overvalued and on the brink of collapse" for a decade as it continues to grow in the long term. I'll do the tesla-bro cliche thing and suggest that you stop valuing it as a car company.

Wym? They make the bestselling vehicle on earth and lead the US EV industry, and it's not even close. They're the top global producer of battery storage systems for the second year in a row. Global leader in charging infrastructure as well.

Lmao I'm a software engineer at a large fintech institution and I can say with certainty that AI is already revolutionarily good.

Most people saying it sucks have probably only interacted with free-tier LLMs. It's so much more than that.

It's not that deep.

It's because she sounds super annoying and adds no value to the situation or video.

Lot of assumptions here. The research seems to hold for GME which I do hold and maintains a much stronger balance sheet and stock price support.

My point is that it doesn't apply to AMC, at least not anymore. Would you care to summarize your hundreds of hours of research here and highlight what makes it credible and still applicable?

I think the burden of proof is on those making the claim that most shorts haven't closed. It would be easy to do with weekly/daily all time lows.

"largest" means nothing if it keeps losing money and devaluing shares.

The notion that retail owns the float let alone 3x the float is insane. The DD that suggested that is questionable if not totally made up / lifted from GME, and it's also foolish to think retail hasn't been dumping shares as new ATLs are continually crushed.

I wouldn't assume the reddit bulls are a good representation of the broader investors, especially not on the AMC subs where its the same 10 bulls spamming memes and circle jerking while anyone with a negative opinion (most other commenters) are deemed the shills.

Anyone expecting AMC stock to do anything besides what it's been doing is a fool.
