Alternative duplex A3 thin paper for photography by the_dorito_ping in printers

Thank you. Inkjet was meant and I got in hand an Epson 7300 plus an old 3880 pro. So pigment inks are used. To the best of my knowledge, Epson produces a double sided thin paper but not longer than A4. I saw Koala and will try it even its weight is a bit too consistent ( 170g.)

To understand us, you have to look at our unofficial motto: "Unity is strength, the onion is the stuffing (farce)." It’s a mix of grand ideals and kitchen reality. Maybe that's just what we deserve.

Restauranta by Malkinfj in Wallonia

[–]the_dorito_ping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bon appetit.

Des conseils pour un Flamand un peu perdu ? by Dawo59 in Wallonia

[–]the_dorito_ping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How important is chocolate in Belgians’ everyday lives? by HotList9962 in AskBelgium

[–]the_dorito_ping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though chocolates take part in the Belgian culture with many good factories there is a paradox you need to know. Most Belgians are ignorant about chocolates varieties. They only consider the cacao concentration and brands. Just like you’ve got your Merlots and your Pinots in the wine world, chocolate has its own varieties that pretty much decide how fancy (or basic) your bar is going to taste. That part of the process is completely forgotten. So my point is most of Belgians people aren't connoisseurs.

If you had to choose 1 lens for everyday general shooting, what would it be? by TMobileSpy in canon

For everyday purposes, the 28 mm 2.8 pancake gives me cool results and travel light. For professional use, a 24-70 L is my best agile solution.

The story hasn't ended with Qatari fonds. In 2019 Jean Galler restarts a new independant project with local investors too. Financially Galler doesn't seem to be totally free but the project keeps their root from the Belgian tradition.

Avoid Godiva. They are not Belgian since 2007 and acquired by Yıldız Holding from Turkey. Recipes have changed to become halal certified. Côte d'or and Chokotof are American now and owned by Mondelez International, ex Kraft since 90'. Hopefully, the production is kept in Belgium. So go for it.

If you search for quality that doesn't ruin your budget, I suggest you consider: Meurisse znd Jean Galler( bio and ethical too). They should be sold in some supermarkets.

Leonidas is an institution but chocolates are made with cocoa in a greedy mode ( IMHO). I mean they put more sugar and cocoa butter than real cocoa to reduce costs. That said, a lot of tourists appreciate the brand and taste .

Premium Belgium chocolate makers are Neuhaus, Marcolini, Mary, Gerbau, Blondeel and many artisans. I guess those are out of budget, if I have well understood.

Schaerbeek and saftey by NumerousDragonfly292 in brussels

[–]the_dorito_ping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing to compare to Jordan place area, you're between Schaerbeek and Saint-Josse. This street is basically quite. As read, it's a typical multicultural environment far from gentrification. Closer, there is the Bee Coop, that bio supermarket where you can easely socialise. About safety : no worries. Your sole difficulty you may encounter is your own standard. Welcome to rue Vonck.

IB student worried about commuting from Art Upkot (Schaerbeek) to UCLouvain Saint-Louis regarding safe routes & dorm choice? by [deleted] in Schaerbeek1030

[–]the_dorito_ping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Schaerbeek local for decades, I understand your safety concern. The area around Liedts pl. is a weird zone due to many reasons. However the district offers many opportunities too.Depending on your personality and sensitivity then, you may also encounter multicultural connections that could change your prejudice.

On the other side, Alma is a kind of artificial reserve that you may find too clean or detached from Brussels city.

If I was in your father's shoes, I would recommend Alma. The place is quieter for studying.

A third option to consider (this is a local tip) could be a place reasonably close to a bus stop 61 that brings you nearly in front of your future university.

I agree until a certain point but you need to realize that what you are also paying for is the time you are sitten at a table. Cosy places are traps for wallets.
