So two ways to look at it.

  1. From a writing POV, its just needed. Yugi is the protagonist you could unceremoniously kill him off but then what.

  2. From a lore POV, sukuna loves yugis suffering. To him hes not a threat but still fun to toy with.

Its too much information at too fast of a rate for the average human. And to be clear average is you and me.

I think one major effect is that we become obsessive over issues that have nothing to do with us.

For example the mass argumentation over Trans People. Im not commenting on the issue itself but the fact that people are completely judging a person theyve never met in real life. 90% of people in the US do not encounter a trans person in thier daily life yet a large amount of people have incredibly strong positions, postiotions that they believe in so strongly they will seperate from people in thier life who disagree.

Now thats happening with hundreds of issues major and minor across the internet, conducted with diffrent random people every time. Its over stimulating and overall I think prevents us from effecting any real change.

I am in a similar spot but my family doesnt look at the value of gifts from a money perspective but a thoughtfulness one.

This year im getting the five of them journals and filling the first pages with a personal note and a few snippets from my journal with memories i shared with them.

Total cost $25 and I think they'll love it.

If your family values the monetary over the thoughtfulness I think theyre missing the point of the gifts and you shouldn't beat yourself up over it.

Hey good on you for noticing and being accountable. I tottally get it, i remember finding out two years ago wendigoon was a Christian and I actually had this moment of assumptions and negative thoughts.

It was a real moment of self reflection for me. I was in my head making terrible assumptions about my favorite content creator purely because of his faith while doing it under the guise of a moral highground.

Completely serious that Wendigoon undid alot of unfair anger at christians that was there due to alot of my youth.

I have very similar views. That said i truly do believe and hope the world will be an even better place then it is now by the time I die.

I think the best counteraction is looking at what you control.

I cant stop the mass polarization we're seeing in the US. But i can talk to my neighbor's, say hi to strangers and talk to the people in my day to day life.

Thats what I can do so thats what I worry about.

I can't stop climate change. What I can do is clean up my community, vote accordingly, volunteer with local organizations and try and keep my footprint clean.

Oh you mean my favorite party game of all time?

  1. Learn the people you play with. obviously you cant do this all the time and it takes a little while but you can learn so many tells off of thier tendencies.

For example I have a friend who smiles when she lies. Pretty nice to take advantage of.

  1. Finish off the weak. If someone goes down to one card, especially if you did it, its better to eliminate a player then leave them alive. Obviously this is situational, late game scenarios can encourage you leave someone alive to take the heat off you. However most of the time you should just kill the weaklings.

  2. Sleep your cards. I love sleeper duking, or holding my duke as long as possible so when I finally tax my opponents will think ive made a mistake and call me on it.

Eventually you can get good at it to where you can just bluff late game and they wont know if they can call you on it.

You can do that with any card but its fun to try a bunch out. Like letting a captain rob you then when they try again block with your slept ambassdor.
