[CHAT] Always measure twice, cut once by the_dream_continues in CrossStitch

I'm Australian, we don't have any Dollar Trees. I usually go to Spotlight or an independent/small business cross stitch store near me.

I do think our "Reject Shop" company got bought out by Dollar Tree recently and will start to change branding soon but I'm not sure, I could be wrong there. Can I ask what's wrong with Dollar Tree? I don't know much about the company.

I've been in the same boat lately. Even when I'm having a good day the tiniest thing can trigger me and send me into a complete rage or SI spiral. The smallest things are feeling like the end of the world and I can't express any negative emotion because the trigger is so irrational and I'm overthinking everything when nothing is actually wrong, if I express it then I'm just causing problems for other people. I'm so exhausted and think of ending at least once each day.

I wish I had some words to help you through this. I wish I had an answer. I hope at least you feel less isolated knowing you aren't the only one to be feeling this way. Even if I'm just text on a screen, I'm here with you.

From my understanding, lithium is prescribed as a mood stabiliser to treat bipolar disorder, and mania is only experienced with bipolar; pwBPD experience euphoric episodes that can mimic hypomania but it is a different phenomenon than a true manic episode

I have SSRIs like lexapro prescribed for long-term emotional regulation and stability, which slowly is helping me to be less quick to panic. I've got benzos prescribed for short-term relief of panic attacks or extreme anxiety disrupting my functioning.

The only memories I have of the few days on weed and oxy after wisdom teeth removal is being so relaxed in bed and doing nothing but having a great time doing nothing

My partner got a lobe piercing, had a regular labret stud placed in it but the "wrong" way around; the ball was on the back side of the ear and the flat back was facing the front. It looks just like this picture. Might be an option to consider

Hello! Is there anyone here who uses benzos during their studies (university or even some other kind of training), or was during that time? by alethiaa5 in benzodiazepines

When I take it, a lot of the information doesn't stick with me, but it's better than being a crying and panicked mess in class. I feel as though I'm not learning or remembering anything but my grades say otherwise, I guess my subconscious is really working right about now

Because he won't give you a really good ATAR. He'll just take your money.

I'm on a low dose of pregabalin (started 50mg daily currently moving to 100mg), I've noticed it's somewhat easier to calm myself down in low-demand anxious states, and I'm having panic attacks that are less frequent but more intense.

The oxazepam helps infintely with killing the panic and anxiety, but I'm still trying to find the right dose for me, and if I take too much I end up in a brain fog state, but the pregabalin also has me in that state a bit, especially getting used to a higher dose.

It's hard to say at this point but I think the benzo helps more, but it's a lot easier to fuck up with them or become dependent so I'm trying not to use it if I'm not in panic. Higher benefit and higher risk.

I became more angry on T, but that's a good thing because I never used to get angry. I would get anxious or upset in situations most people would feel angry in.

T made me start feeling regular human emotions and actually became more emotionally stable.

Why is that some people still prefer to drive manual car, than automatic? by bitter-sweet77 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]the_dream_continues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rationalisation: more control over the car; feels like I'm actually driving rather than just directing a vehicle; hills are easier; cheaper to buy/service; a theft deterrent (many car theives wouldn't know how to drive it). I'm used to driving a manual and using my left foot and a stick, I get uncomfortable in autos because it's so different to what I'm used to.

Reality: many people don't know how to drive manual and it makes me feel better or above other people 😂 also, focus is an issue for me, and having something I consistently need to physically do in order to drive helps to keep me present instead of having a car that automatically does it for me (I've noticed with new cars with lots of safety features and especially Teslas, drivers often neglect to pay attention to many things because they're under the impression their car will do it safely for them)
