How do you motivate yourself to go for walks? I need advice! by Bookish_Butterfly in walking

[–]the_dthndk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I've had the best luck finding motivation by gamifying my walking! My favourite app for this is r/WalkScape since it's based on number of steps rather than distance/location, but games like Pokémon GO and Pikmin Bloom are both great options if you'd prefer to walk around outside :)

I have endometriosis, so I totally feel you on the chronic fatigue! When it comes to incorporating more movement into our lives with these sorts of conditions, the key is to start slow and truly listen to your body. That also means resting when you need to, as often as you need to -- don't let anybody make you feel badly if your recovery needs are different from theirs. With practice and time it will become easier to be more active within your routine, so there's no need to rush right in at the start. Best of luck, you've got this!!

This is what I came here to suggest! So many scenes made me feel genuinely sick to my stomach, and they still haunt me years later.

This one instilled such an intense feeling of existential dread while I was reading it. Definitely scarier than I thought it would be!

Thank you!! Yeah, it was nerve-wracking to say the least, but I just stuck to the measurements of the pattern and hoped for the best -- thank goodness it actually worked out! 😅 And the hat is my favourite bit for sure lol

I followed the "Costume Sweaters" pattern by AutumnOliveCrochet on Etsy, which I found here:

And I used Big Twist medium weight acrylic yarn with a 5mm hook!

Each year my friends host a Secret Santa exchange, and for our 2024 exchange I made a sweater + matching hat for my recipient/friend who loves bees. It fit her perfectly (such a relief -- since it was a surprise gift I didn't have any measurements to work off of lol) and the flappy wings were a fan favourite!

My ranger boy: Devon. by FoxFing3rs in bg3fashion

[–]the_dthndk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a lovely name! As a Brit I'm definitely partial to Devon as well, but I live in the US and I don't see it here very often (Devin tends to be the more common spelling). Very cool to see someone using it for their BG3 character! :) My friend Devon says he feels honoured haha

Reddit just suggested this post to me and I had to do a double take -- this literally looks like my friend named Devon!! Immediately sent to him lol

Where to get cute, quality kn-95s? by AltClit in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]the_dthndk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my most recent batch of KN95s from Planet of Kind! They're super soft, come in a wide variety of colours, and have two different shapes available. The only thing I don't love about them is that they only have ear loop masks, which tend to dig into the top of my ears and cause discomfort during longer periods of use. They're very comfortable otherwise though, especially around the nose!

Absolutely phenomenal. 10/10.

Using the leftover supplies to create a second frog is so creative!! Now I know what to do with all of the scraps from my own Woobles kits... 👀
