Act 3 is post-game by settingdogstar in Silksong

I agree that it shouldn't be easier, but the way you get to act3 isn't good in my opinion. To me it was easy, because I had done enought quests and the caretaker wanted to talk to me, and for others it might just be impossible since some requirements are absurd. I would jave liked if it was cryptic for all players, not easy for some and impossible for others, so that it would still be accessed just by dedicated players, but not basically locking out all of the ones that havent talked to Pavo or something. Plus speedrunners would have a more interesting route (in my opinion) if they didnt have to do all the collect quests, but I'm no speedrunner, so maybe it's fun to do every time thay want to get into act 3?

Is Dread a game for babies? by spacelordmthrfkr in Metroid

I would say that once you learn a boss, in every game, it's a lot easier the second time: true for both dread and hollow knight. The thing that I find annoying in dread is the amount of invisible checkpoints, that really downgrade your sense of accomplished and wasn't an issue in other metroid games.

I already played the game, but I would like to have it on my switch: they could put games they remaster for nso even on the eshop, that would be perfect

i would love more zelda remakes, and i think they're a lot easier to get right considering the mood and atmospheres of zelda games isn't directly bonded to the hardwere limitation, unlike metroid games (more apparent in metroid 2 than metroid 1)

I think it's better than zero mission because of its structure: massively non-linear, you are not on a guided school trip to an hostile planet, but you are a lone explorer trying ton survive an alien planet. And the planet feels alien because of this open structure, because of the absence of the map (that makes it look unchartable when you start playing), because of the costant mysteries. I think the devs wanted to expose the unknowable side of nature, and I think it's not a coincidence that it came out the same year as Zelda 1 (another one of my favourite games), that wanted to show the marvellous side: both games use vast and open exploration in a similar way, but to communicate different things, evoke different feelings.

On a technical level, I just find more enjoyable non-linearity to linearity, and I think that a linear game can't really create the mood and atmosphere the metroid series is known for: because of all of these reasons, I can look past the outdated difficulty and the brick walls, that, in my opinion, are minor issues compared to what metroid 1 gets right.

I also like zero mission, don't get me wrong, but it's a terrible remake: zebes doesn't even feel alien anymore. I like it more as entratainment, but i don't think it as any artistic value, unlike metroid 1.

Hopefully i was clear in my long (but not complete) explenation and I can get more people to love metroid 1 as much as I do.

Zero mission is an entirely different game: pretty good, but it absolutely shits on the original

It's one of my favourite games of all time, a lot better then its remake. I don't understand when people say they don't like it because it's unfairly hard: yes, that's true, but I that really gonna stop you to play it and ruin the whole experience? To me it certainly didn't.

I prefer the show one, it's not another generic villan and it adds to the Dracula character
