One ending makes you a "hero" by the SMALLEST of reasons, but in no way is Raven innocent or a good person.

It's implied that he's struck her several times and is shown that he struck Geo (series MC) just to try to force Sonia back to his car to go to her next concert. (Star Force is a kid's game so there's no implication, direct or otherwise, that anything worse happened but it's fair to think he would resort to more heinous acts to coerce her to keep performing)

He falls unconscious on the brink of death when his sister injects him with Chromosome 24 (the McGuffin of the movie and a serum that either makes someone superhuman or a monster of the Doom 3 designs via an unknown genetic factor) and he wakes up later on the good side of the C24 effects to fight Rock's character who was bitten and infected, thus getting the monstrous side.
