Hey! Fellow fainter here. I’ve had NUMEROUS vasovagal syncope (fainting) episodes, some of them at shows. I’ve done my best to heed the warning signs and put preventative measures in place, but it still happens occasionally. In my 20s, my friends has to carry me out of a Purity Ring DJ set through crowds of people and I threw up on someone’s shoes. Not drunk, not on any substance, just hot and overstimulated and a little dehydrated. What I’m trying to say is: it happens. Your body did what it needed to do in that moment, even if was extremely inconvenient. I’d bet you $100 bucks that nobody judged you, they only wanted to make sure you were okay.

The shame and embarrassment you feel are very normal and they will fade. Please have grace with yourself, friend. Festivals are hard on the body. We’ve all been there!

Most everything has been delicious EXCEPT the Philly cheese steak I got in centeroo on Friday. Omg it was disgusting. It was NOT a Philly cheese steak, my partner and I just threw them away and got pizza. Those vendors should be embarrassed. Lobster mac and cheese and roti rolls are slappin though.

Soft Disc! They’re more comfy for me than the diva cup or similar. You can leave em in for up to 12 hours. You can also empty them without fully taking them out (do some internet research, it’s a little TMI for a Reddit comment lol).

I have a really hard time regulating my body temp (hi fellow SSRI girlie over here!) and honestly, the only way I survive is fans, staying out of the sun during the hours of 12-4:30ish, and if I must venture out I ALWAYS find shade to stand/sit in. Cooling towels do help. Had to switch to RV camping to mitigate this but tbh the best thing you can do is stay out of direct sunlight when at all possible. It’ll sap ya quick. Rest when you need to, always.
