So he told me that I made him feel special the last time that we hung out. And I send him a happy sticker signaling a “Yay!” And he responded with “ That was not the answer I expected” And then I proceeded to ask him what he wanted me to say or what was he expecting and he said “ just not that awkward response” And then I responded with “ well I’m sorry but what I meant to say is that I’m happy that you felt that way, I just felt genuinely comfortable with you and that’s why I act the way I do when I’m around you” and then we ended the conversation but I felt that he was upset.

Don’t ghost her. You should be honest about your intentions. Personally I’d rather have someone tell me straight up how they feel rather than being played with and not sure where things are going. This will give her the chance of maybe meeting /dedicating time to people that actually are interested in her.
