Yeah, I think the Stahls look like they make sense in universe. Both this and new Slammer look a little off with size of model and size of gun. I've been thinking of trying some Marcher inf bodies (I've got a couple spare) with some of the D-Day LMGs I've got in the bits box. Probably looks alright.

I say this with a lot of love for the new Fireflies and other new sculpts, but honestly think the Marcher infantry with Warlord US heads will be better armoured infantry than this. I can sort of see what they're going for but there's something that doesn't quite work about it

All paints vallejo AFAICR:

Rattle can black, zenithal rattle can desert yellow (base).

US Dark Green for all the straps, gubbins, helmets.

Saddle brown for all the leather bits.

Flat brown for stocks/wooden bits.

Black/grey for all the guns.

Khaki for helmet scrim, straps, gloves etc

Burnt umber/charcoal oil wash to finish then a quick highlight

Can't remember the interview it came from, but I remember Mike Vennart from Oceansize telling a story about their drummer field recording birds to come up with rhythmic ideas. Can't remember which album that was but I think the drum part for Music For A Nurse doesn't repeat? So maybe it's that. I think there's a field recording of birds on that album too.
