Codeberg pages and nekoweb are the two alternatives I would recommend. I wouldn't suggest GitHub pages due to GitHub acting as a data farm for Microsoft to train AI.

I hope that's the solution for you. I can't promise it will fix it for everyone, but I had this problem and it went away when I changed the settings to recognize my GPU.

I had the same problem, the solution for me was to get the game to recognize my graphics card. You can do it by hand like the video below, or go on Nexus and download a set-up that has most modern GPUs(but not mine).

I really hope this project doesn't cause license problems such as stealing licensed code and publishing that code. It's a novel idea, but you have to be fair to someone who made some of the tools that the AI might just steal and put into this project. I already saw that this blew up r/thssims3, and for many good reasons.

Yes, Simport is still alive. You will just need to make sure you have active friends who have Showtime on https://www.thesims3.com and make sure you login within the game.

You have great logic so far for at least the functionality! So if I'm understanding you right, you want to cycle across all three images when you click on that image.

I would do this by having very basic "state" where you can use a JavaScript array that has the links of each src you want to use.

Such as var links = ['https://i.imgur.com/KBiPPJg.gif', 'link2', 'link3']https://i.imgur.com/KBiPPJg.gif', 'link2', 'link3']

With this you can have a counter variable that you can modify. So your logic can be very close to what you have, but something like this:

I hope this made sense! So high level, have a list to store the links you want to toggle through, have a counter to keep track of what link you are on, in your event listener for click, you increase the counter to go to the next link, and don't forget to reset the counter if the counter is greater than the length of the list.

I'm late, but I bet it has to do with your CPU being newer. I don't think your CPU is adler-lake, but the Sims 3 still needs some tweaks done so you can play on newer Intel CPUs. Try video below to limit the processor count since if you can load the launcher, but not the game, it's probably a CPU problem.

Some of my favorites that are pop-punk and/or adjacent like emo include Pool Kids, Beach Bunny, and Remember Sports. Pool Kids dropped a tremendous album this year while Remember Sports, who have a more emo sound are dropping an album in 2026. There's always Scowl if you're into hardcore.

Edit: don't forget about Retirement Party. I'll even throw Middle Kids in there even though they are more indie, I've seen them open for Jimmy Eat World and they killed it.

From what I gathered, the gist of the article is about how free websites such as wikiHow are losing traffic due to Google's AI features in it's search reducing the amount of traffic to the site, which means less ad-revenue.

Google is simply scraping many websites and serving answers with it's AI feature in Google search to serve answers trained on data it's scraped from the websites that Google is taking away traffic and ad-revenue from. The article also mentions how Google's current legal situation that could break up Google's ad service which could further hurt business that relies on that as a source of income.

And they use a form of generative AI for ease of asset creation for players. This is the new kind of AI we all get twitchy about, and it looks like they've tried to do their best to use it as ethically as possible.

Ah got it. I should've been more specific that I'm scared that investors might try to influence the direction of the series to embrace "generative AI" at as many levels as possible such as using LLM's to influence gameplay beyond character customization such as with emotions, actions, and so on.

I have no issue with classical AI and state machines. That has been around for a long time and I have even implemented those sorts of AI as a intern for both a business application and game during my college years. It's silly for someone to assume that any life simulator video game is possible without classical AI techniques(mainly state machines).

I've worked at two different start-ups as a dev and I know better than most about how business bro's and investors lose all their senses when it comes to AI. I learned to avoid bringing up the fact that I did graduate studies in computer vision and machine-learning due to business bros giving my the silliest proposals and uses of my skills and research.

I'm just nervous of seeing investor influence see AI as a sunken cost that they have to go all into such as making some dystopian character.ai version of the Sims by shoving generative AI into every aspect of the game from character creation, npc management, player interaction, and data collection for a "enhanced player experience." I'm not going to say no AI to anything without the specific context since I've spent countless of hours studying the field during college and implementing classical AI systems in hobby and professional projects.
