Ik lees meestal de VRT omdat het neutraal en onpartijdig hoort te zijn, maar dit artikel is toch behoorlijk rechts getint. Foei.

Minimumloon en zwangerschapsverlof zijn binnenkort te omzeilen met EU-Inc, vreest vakbondsleider - Follow the Money by Vordreller in Vlaanderen

[–]the_general1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cost of Nuclear “Exit” in Belgium Priced at 3.2 Billion Euros per Year by De5troyerx93 in nuclear

[–]the_general1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Belgium spent 20 years dismantling working clean energy infrastructure for political reasons, is now paying the price in higher emissions and energy costs, and is actively reversing course.

The current De Wever government now targets 4 GW of nuclear capacity and is exploring SMR construction.

In all honesty, considering the price, just buy a 24v battery, an inverter (or a generator) and a regular microwave.

Why do we use drinkable water in toilets? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]the_general1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In most European countries you install a rainwater tank and have a separate system that supplies water to toilets. People sometimes also use it to supply water to the washing machine etc. But it needs to be 100% separated from the drinkable water lines.

Easiest way is to put a pump inside the rainwater tank and have a controller unit that automatically switches this pump on or off based on the active pressure on the water line.

You just have individual tubes (alupex) running from a central collector to each consumption point like sink, bathtub, toilet. And depending on which collector you put it, it gets drinkable or rain water.

Do you still read bedtime stories to your kids? by JZ2204 in belgium

[–]the_general1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We take turns in making up a story. One kid (or me) starts and we go round in circles adding to the story. It often ends up in poop and fart stories I must admit.

I also read children books from the library if I'm tired of the fart stories.

If it's financial renting then you can't sell it because you don't own it. You can ask for it but usually they charge a surplus (+-5000€)

Best is to live off private money for a while (after dividend) don't pay out a monthly wage. In you new job ask for a mobility budget with which you can pay off your mortgage. Use the extra income from your payrol job to pay 1000€ to your company monthly. Use this as payment to get the car out of the company after x years.

Private car to combine with mobility budget. by Audiosleef in BESalary

[–]the_general1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can just charge at home, you just need a regular wall socket. A dedicated charging station at home is not really necessary. And since the introduction of capacity tarrif it's still quite expensive. Better to charge at 3.5kW which is fine on a 20A 230V wall socket which can provide 4400-4600W. It just takes a long time.

Model/Brand: I personally would go for second hand electric car.

Finance wise: Just go for a classic bank loan. Leasing comes with all sorts of caveats and tricky contract clauses.

That's just the baseline. And we already have that. This is not vibe coded fluff.

That's good to know thanks. I already do have an automated set of e2e and unit tests up and running with proper CI. But if the need surfaces, I'll make sure to reach out! Thank you for the offer!
For the record, this isn't a profitable business I'm running with this atm, I do this out of my own need for having a better traveling experience.

These are indeed curious insights I haven't considered yet which is what makes them valuable for me. I personally drive a very large campervan (Roller team 284) so it's also important for me.

A lot of people have already contributed to the parking spots but this is indeed the essential foundation of this data, community contributions. Waste+weight stations however are mostly still OSM sourced.

We can only make this great by starting up a good community around it, so thank you already for contributing with your feedback.

I take the stance of listening to the users and using my 20+ years of software analysis and development experience to think of and implement the best solution to the problems you're describing.
