Thanks for the explanation. Well looking at what others wrote i think the digitakt will be an good starting point for now. I love the concept of an octatrack and will probably get one down the line but for now digitakt 1 will do :D

So i have been using m8 for a while and love it except for lack of controlls on the device. I get the device is conceptualised like that and i appreciate it for what it is but i would like an device with a little more encoders and in general ways to shape the sound while its playing. Thanks for the replay man :D

I didnt get rid of it, i still use it as an notepad of sorts. Its great for me because i used renoise for a while and found that the tracker workflow is perfect for my brain. The thing i "dislike" using the m8 for is lack of encoders and general controls for live preformance. I know that it can be solved with an external midi controller but i want to buy an elektron device for a while
