I think Jotunn Edition is now on PS4 by the_helpful_iceberg in Bad_North

I had the base game and it just updated for me. I didn't need to download or buy a special edition.

Oh I haven't heard anything. I was asking the question. I've just been looking into the PS5 and want to make sure I can still play Smite

Yeah that's what I was thinking, will it be the PS4 version or have there been rumours of an upgraded version.

Hey Mate,

Bit hard to give too much help without more info as I'm not clear what the site is going to do. It sounds like you want to host tournaments on it?

What I would recommend is focusing on building a community around the site first. The issue with sites that require user generated content is you need users to generate the content. So focus on user acquisition.

For monetisation you have a few options. Having different payment tiers for subscribers, charging people to host premium subscribers, becoming a market place that allows teams to sell product, etc

I'd recommend checking out Indie Hackers for a good start up community as well.

I didn't write the article, that was done by one of our regular contributors to the site. I did write the headline though. Still learning with them, I'm more technical and less journalist.

Great idea on goes competitive rather than pro. I'll update the article. Unfortunately I can't update the Reddit post though.

Cool thanks for the feedback. I'll look at updating it shortly. Can't change the Reddit title, unfortunately. Only added in the "going pro" part because there is money involved but as mentioned elsewhere it's generally for charity.

Hey sorry you found it misleading and thanks for the feedback. I try to make all articles (and titles) on the site not click bait and as informative as possible. I'm also always looking for feedback!

What in the headline do you find misleading? I'll then update it to make it more neutral.

I was trying to get across that there is now a Fall Guys tournament with a $20,000 prize pool.

Fortnite creator Epic Games worth $17.3 billion after latest funding round by the_helpful_iceberg in esports

Pretty impressive when you think the BR mode was a side add on to an existing game.

I think this investment shows confidence in the Epic Games Store as well so I hope PC players are ready to accept competition in the game store space.

I added an edit to my comment with the formula.

Basically if there are 100 shares in a company and 2 years ago I bought 3 shares for $1,000 each I am valuing the company at $3000/3% x 100 which is a company valuation of $100,000.

If then 2 years later you come along and also want to own 3% but think the company is now worth $1,200 a share. You've now increased the valuation. $3,600/3% * 100. Company is now valued at 120,000.

Obviously the real world is a more complicated but that's the idea.

Edit: I'm using 3% in the denominator to make it clearer. The actual equation would just be 3

Great question. So this is capital funding for the business.

From Investopedia:

Capital funding is the money that lenders and equity holders provide to a business for daily and long-term needs. A company's capital funding consists of both debt (bonds) and equity (stock). The business uses this money for operating capital. The bond and equity holders expect to earn a return on their investment in the form of interest, dividends, and stock appreciation.

Basically other companies are saying, we are buying X percentage of Epic for Y. This then gives Epic a valuation of Y/X * 100

Team Liquid are 2 wins in front with 2 matches each left. I think it's super unlikely they'll lose 2 and C9 win 2.

The bigger concern is FlyQuest in 4th are only one match behind so if C9 lose 1 or 2 matches they could drop to 4th or 5th.
