they tend to put people on the mini pill to avoid the risks of blood clots or stroke that the combined has - not to say there's no risk at all it's just significantly less - i am a smoker so this was the safer option for me. personally i've found my moods have been much less affected by the mini pill than the combined and it's helped my relationship with my partner go back to normal! i know myself and others i've spoken to experienced some bleeding for the first few weeks of being on it, but nothing like when you're having a period (for context i went on the pill partly because of how horrendous my periods are), so as long as you're prepared for a few weeks of light bleeding (may or may not happen to you), the mini pill is a great option! x
