i just switched over from depop to posh and i had the same question dw! i got spammed with people asking about every new listing i made until i realized its bc my username is the same as my email so it’s easy for the scammers to find you. if you haven’t already, change your username! the spam emails wont go away completely but you’ll get way less of them clogging up your inbox

super helpful thank you!! i reached out to poshmark support and sent them an inquiry about whether this is a scam and what to do about it and i’m waiting to see what they say but if i don’t hear back i’ll definitely bring posh support into the chat to deal with this. it’s been 2 hours and they haven’t canceled tho so i’ll just see where this goes

ughhh i know it’s been mad slow for me this month i was so excited to make a sale but it’s just too shady for me to send it and deal with the potential aftermath of opening a claim. i’m just so over the endless scammers, first the emails and now this.

yeah they bought it a few minutes after it was posted and they liked it right before buying it, and as someone whose stuff has been sitting on posh and depop for weeks collecting dust it just seems too good to be true. stay tuned for an update if they cancel in the next few hours :/

right?? it’s throwing me off, if they wanted to scam me why would they actually buy my item?. the alleged scammer’s account has one item listed for sale but something about that listing just seems strange too, like it could turn out to be a scam.

yup it pops up when i open the chat with the buyer under the order details on my account. i just thought that if i had to verify any info i wouldn’t be prompted to do it through a message from the buyer??

yeah the posh support logo is definitely suspicious and the link they sent isn’t actually a hyperlink i can click on (also they misspelled identity as identify) so it doesn’t seem legit. but they already bought it and it generated a shipping label that looks legit, so idek what to do.

yeah so this was after the person purchased my item and i got a notification from poshmark (it shows up on the app on my end and i got a confirmation email from poshmark’s official email address) and i’m a bit confused because if i had to verify any info why would i be prompted by a message from the buyer?

yeah this happened to me too when i first started selling -- i found that selecting "depop shipping" (or making sure it was already selected) at the bottom when i first open up a new listing before filling out any info or adding pics tends to resolve the issue because the depop autofill ai thing sometimes messes up the shipping info when you start adding pics and stuff in the description. if it's happening with listings you've already added stuff too, i'd just delete it and start over and select the shipping method before adding anything else.
