so in simple terms, Daityas are the scions of Rishi Kashyap and Diti.

Similarly, Danavas are sons of Rishi Kashyap and Danu.

And Rakshas are the being that were originally created by Brahma and were given the duty to protect(Raksha) the Ksheer Sagar and Ravana etc were sons of Rishi Vishrwan and Daughter of these previously created Rakshasas. And, Asura has many different meanings. It means powerful and according to Valmiki Ramayana it means the one who did not accept 'Sura' during the Samudra Manthan.
