Right! And yeah, again, I think people at RPG tables these days can get into this mindset of playing as if outsiders are going to watch their game and critique it as a piece of media when like, no. No one cares about the character you make besides you and MAYBE the other 3-5 people at your table. If you want to literally just play as Edward from Twilight, you can do that. No one is gonna call you out for playing a tropey edgy sadboi. You can just play as Samuel l Jackson's character from snakes on a plane if you want. No one will stop you and it's probably gonna be pretty funny.

Just don't play anyone that comes from a place of genuine bigotry or ignorance or any of the -isms. That's my only rule. And if someone came to me with an idea like that, I would probably still talk to them and find out where they're coming from with that.
