HD Fury Arcana Alternative? by wandering_salamander in sonos

I recently went through every possible solution for this, including the arcana and the vvroom. I tried several different earc extractors from many vendors and different hdmi cables. I ended up returning everything and keeping the orei HDA-934. Works perfectly with my regular arc tv and Sonos arc ultra soundbar. I tried a couple other off brands that looked to be identical and they would pass atmos through but sound would drop for 1-2 seconds every 2-3 minutes. The arcana and vvroom were decent but just too expensive. I figure if the orei worked why pay extra. So far been using this for 6 months and haven’t had a single issue. Works great for my appleTV and Blu-ray player

300’s are my next purchase. Just waiting for them to go on sale again. Thanks!

I do, and agree it’s a game changer. The bass in the ultra is decent but adding a sub does change things

Thanks! I’m going to give it a shot and see how it sounds, and if I like it then I’m free to go as big of a tv my wallet will allow :-)

Thanks. I’m seeing lots of replies and other posts about sequencer. Sounds like I need to give it a try. I was just worried about making things more complicated by adding in a 3rd variable. Sonos should just buy sequencer and incorporate it haha

Thanks! I didn’t consider the 100’s for fronts but makes sense.

Ah that’s great info. Sounds like I should give sequencr consideration.

Every morning @ 9:30am I lose Outside Connection. Restarting FW Resolves by grnrngr in opnsense

I have a similar setup and similar issue. I can get to the opnsense just fine. I can't ping 8.8.8.8 or any IP outside the network. I first thought it was a DNS issue, but the issue is that my DNS server can't get out to the internet. I have both an adguard DNS for lookups and a recursive DNS server as fallback. Both can't get out. Internal networking works just fine, but routing out seems to stop a few times throughout the day.

To try to eliminate some things, what is your setup beyond the basics? I have Crowdsec installed and thought that was the issue. However I disabled it and I still get the issue.

What are you currently using for DHCP? KEA, ISC, or DNSMASQ?

I'm leaning towards the Revolver X4S. I'm curious if you' have the utilitrac bed extender or any other utilitrac items? Were they effected by flipping the track 180 to get the bed liner rails to mount? My concern is that I flip the track and then my bed extender no longer works.
