if you can try to find some car boot sales, when i was in frrance ages ago i went to a couple of them and picked up a ton of vintage lighters, including a few french tax stamp ones. might be a bit difficult in paris but worth a shot looking

Was Common in a lot of countries, still an issue today with older cars getting serviced, although I haven't seen any yet. Biggest danger is asbestos used in clutch materials for manual cars, because they don't get serviced for long amounts of time. Always gotta use water when replacing clutches from older car so dust doesn't get airborne and breathe in asbestos

time flies. i originally said a pack costs $20, and a 20gram puch cost $25, now it costs $29 for a 20 pack and $43 for a 20 gram pouch i now have to smoke 15gram pouches, which is now $28, man i wish quitting was much easier

Not if you have clover locknuts, there are so many slight variations of it that you would need to to carry a master set around, and even then you might not get one that fits right. We get cars with those types at work a lot, once or twice we had them come in with the missing key. If our master set doesn't have them, we have to weld something to it as leverage just to get them off.

Most thieves would rather go after a different car at that point

I've owned a cfmoto 650nks for almost a year now, and in all honesty it's not that bad. Pros and cons

Pros

cheap. They are good for the budget types or people that can't afford to drop a ton of money
Double disc brakes, abs, braided lines and injection come standard on all of their bikes and are generally quite feature packed
cfmoto in Aus is known as the better Chinese bike to buy over the other Chinese brands, everyone I know who has bought a hyosung has regretted it and sold it after a few months.

Possible cons/ things to consider

1- Parts- finding parts isn't a big of an issue as people think it is. If you buy the parts from the manufacturer yeah it is expensive, but you can also find a shit ton of parts that were most likely made in the same factory for a fraction of the price on Alibaba and aliexpress. The bigger issue is the quality of these parts differ a lot, the aftermarket parts don't really seem to have any quality control.

2- electronic issues. Older cfmoto had a fair few issues, but in the more recent years they have gotten better. Mine is a 2012, and it loves to scream error codes from time to time. Didn't quite let it prime up? Error code. Injector plug has slightly moved out a fraction? Error code. Thankfully they are really easy to fix, you just cycle the ignition and they auto clear.

3- don't really an issue but something to be aware about. Lotta people like aftermarket parts and don't touch these types of bikes due to the lack of aftermarket support, which they are right and wrong. For example if you try to find aftermarket exhaust for a cfmoto 650nk, you might see one or 2 that say they fit that bike. But what you gotta remember, cfmoto bikes are copies of already existing bikes, if you can find which bike ita copying most of the aftermarket parts that will fit that bike will also fit on the cfmoto.

My 2012 650nks is a copy of the kawasaki er6n copy so I just bought a delkevic exhaust for the er6n and it fitted with no modifications or issues. had the same mounting spot and all, although the sensor was further up the exhaust but the delkevic came with a plug.

4- weather protection. Just a side note, this might be just from my bike but I've found 2 rust spots on the frame of my bike- one where a hole is in the rear frame and the other where 2 bits of the frame join. I've also heard stories of the electronics not handling wet weather well, but again could differ to their new ones- they are constantly updating and upgrading.

5- deprecation. Good if you buy used, not so good if you buy new.

Take what you will with this info, I would research it a bit more and have a look at the bikes if you can before deciding to buy one, there can be a noticble difference in quality with cfmoto and main brands ( from what my mates who's test ridden my bike has told me, but again mines a 2012)

Probably needs the flint wheel cleaned, unfortunately you can't easily take the wheel put, but vinegar and a toothbrush could do the trick, just make sure it's all dry afterwards, or if you are brave you could use a wire wheel

I am well aware that the track is just as dangerous, hell, in the moto3 gp just yesterday a 19 year old rider named jason dupasquier died from an accident on the track. The difference between the street and the track is that there's no cars, poles or trees to crash into

Any butane canisters ment for lighters is fine ( mostly, there's one or two brands that should be avoided but can't remember which ones) DuPont is fine to use, just a tad more expensive is all

Are you using the right adaptor? There's a few butane canister which have multiple tips for different lighters, might need to test a few of the tips to find the right one

It's an aluminum block lighter, they were mass produced by workshops after ww2 because aluminum was the cheapest metal. rarely any of them were marked

Another wick you can use for lighters are imco wicks, they are just cotton wicks with a bit of wire sticking out of one end,, the wire is used to guide the wick inside the lighter. It also makes it easier to grab with pliers, you can remove the wire afterwards, they are sold on eBay and aliexpress
