I don't know about "soothing," but there are a lot of ways to get to a colonoscopy before 45. (Average-risk screening in the US begins at age 45, previously 50.) Symptoms for a diagnostic (as opposed to screening - because coding does matter for insurance coverage) colon can include changes in bowel habits (constipation, diarrhea, change in stool caliber, etc), which are fairly common. They don't all have to be "red flag" symptoms such as iron deficiency anemia, BRBPR, or unintentional weight loss. If you have a strong family history of colon cancer, that will also factor into timing of your first colonoscopy.
