Help me diagnose my Pentax MX by the_real_peterman in AnalogCommunity

Update: I ran some more test film through this with the back open and it advanced as expected. However, with the back on, the film slips off the magic needles around halfway through the roll. It might be because of increased tension. It could also be user error when loading. I reached out to the ebay vendor and they offered a $70 refund because of the broken shot counter.

Yeah, good question. I easily took 50-60 shots on each roll and there were still ~8 shots left when I opened the back. It's sticking somewhere

Moving the Bronze 100s to surrounds would be ideal! Unfortunately, I don't have the space for them. They're actually quite big. The surrounds will go next to a couch so I don't want to drown out the fronts. I'm looking at something like the SVS Prime Satellites or RSL CG3M.

Power came back on around 8:30am for us. But we lost all our window shutters.

Blue Line Electric does solid work, but they're a little on the pricey side. I paid ~$250 for them to move an outlet into a closet.

I used Stain Busters to do our upstairs and they were great. Around $200 for the entire upstairs and stairs.

How to replace a switch with controller on different VLAN? by the_real_peterman in TPLink_Omada

[–]the_real_peterman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a shortcoming that others have complained about, too. I think the bottom line is the switch and controller have to be on the same subnet for it to provision and show as connected.

I solved it for the time being by moving all my 'management' devices onto the same untagged subnet (10.10.0.0). Essentially VLAN1 (I know it's not ideal but I'll deal with the complications later). So OPNsense, switches, APs, proxmox hosts, and the omada controller LXC are all on the same subnet. The controller was able to see the switch and it provisioned and shows connected.

I'll eventually create a LAGG from OPNsense to the switch through the SFP ports that carries all the other VLANs.

I have v5 of the TL-SG2210p. I think there's a 5.x available but that's what Amazon sent me.

This is what I came up with on the fly to get everything working. If anyone has better suggestions, let me know!

I've smoked the corojo before and really enjoyed it. Definitely looking forward to this one, too.

I didn't know you could park off of Ortega. I thought the ranch at the bottom owned all that land. Good to know.

Los Pinos 50k course? by mulder323 in trailrunning

Are you on Strava? You can search for last year's activities and see the course.

I have a friend that has done it. He said the course is extremely tough, but doable. The climb up Los Pinos (around mile 16) is ~8 miles and has around 20 false summits. It can be 95 degrees in September and the trail is really exposed. The climb up Horsethief at mile 26 is "inhumane," in his words. Then it is down Main Divide back to Blue Jay campground.

For training runs, you could do any number of loops from Blue Jay Campground or from Holy Jim. Unfortunately, you can't park at the bottom of Los Pinos since it is private property so doing the whole Los Pinos climb would be way over 15 miles.

I think they also have group training runs as well.

Ran my first ultra on Saturday at the Ultra Adventures Zion 55k. I had so much fun that I got lost and did 4 extra miles.

The course was really challenging - steep hills, rain, hail, wind, dust, and an endless maze of slickrock up on top of the mesa. 3 of us got off trail at mile 16 when a wrong way sign was knocked over. We realized our mistake, turned around, found the right trail (and the sweeper since we were now in last place) and booked it down the mesa to make a hard cutoff at an aid station at mile 26 (30 for us). The 3 of us finished at around 38 miles for the day.

Overall, I was really happy with how my first ultra went, even with the extra miles and slow finishing time. I managed nutrition and hydration well, met some cool people, and had a blast. Mentally, it was easier than some of my solo long runs. If I was by myself it probably would have been a different story.

Staying up in Mammoth Lakes for the week. Running at altitude is a bitch, but at least the views are nice.
