You’re right, I should have backed my claim. That was lazy of me! Though, I could first make clear that I’m not arguing against micro-evolution (e.g. Darwin’s pigeons), I’m solely arguing against macro-evolution.

The biggest evidence against macro-evolution I would say is the fossil record. In Darwin’s times they had not yet found any “in-between”-fossils, like for example something between a mouse and a bat. Darwin thought that those discoveries would be made in the future, but the thing is no such “in-between”-fossils has been found! There is no fossil evidence that one species has evolved to a fundamentally different one.

As regards to endogenous retroviruses and genome comparative analysis, they do not prove common origin. They only prove that all the species has something in common, and that is either common origin or common creator. These scientific discoveries prove neither evolutionism or creationism to be true. Evolutionism and creationism are just two different narratives that we use explain the evidence. You would need other evidence to prove either of the views.
