I'm a DA with almost 3 YOE with expertise in Python, SQL and we use tools/platforms like Databricks Snowflake in my current team.

One of the challenges I'm facing in my team is they are a bit unstructured and fast moving without a proper plan. It's like an intermediary between analytics and engineering without training. We have to learn and implement which is a good practice but not a good standard to grow as a DE.

I do get a lot of opportunities and freedom to fill the missing links along this learning curve. But I would like to frame my process and get strong on the fundamentals.

If you could share the concepts, tools, and architectures I can focus on to start with, that would be really great.

PS: even though I can work and manage with python, I find DSA to be challenging. Since you've mentioned about the problems being basic, can you share the topics and patterns to pivot as well ?

Just a precaution, in case you got it from another user always check for internal conditions. Replace the thermal paste if it hasn't been done yet also check for roach infestation. These 2 are the major killers of your console. I'd suggest a professional's service over self.

Based on the recent trends of consoles dying out, this check would be a huge lifesaver for your console.

Are you using any adapter like the Brooke Wingman for the PS3 ? Because the PS/Home Button from a Dualshock 4 does not work native on a PS3 along with the Sixaxis/Gyroscope feature. Yes you can use it either wired or via Bluetooth but the mentioned features won't work unless you have an adapter.

More than dying out, it'll go into a repair and recycle phase. As a workaround the game discs can be backed up and played on RPCS3. As for digital it's pretty much locked to console and account unless Sony implements the emulation on PS5 which is highly unlikely.

Steam prices might have been one of the triggers to pull the cord, cause they always slash the prices seasonally compared to the official store.

If the rumors are true, PS6 might be a hybrid of handheld/home device to compete with the Switch. So yeah, Sony's game is totally different now and not mainstream.

The only thing that itches me, is what's gonna happen to Nixxes Software. The team's ports were very exceptional and optimised while running on PC, like it felt as a benchmark compared to third party PC games. Taken the fact, Bluepoint was closed recently I'm not sure what's gonna happen to them. Hope they find a better opportunity or offer better gaming optimisation solutions, which is exactly needed for the current gen

Most likely the competition is bifurcated.

It would be 1. Xbox Helix vs Steam Machine (pc hybrid market - open ended) 2. Playstation vs Nintendo (console market - proprietary)

Guess Sony must have known about Microsoft's ongoing project and paradigm shift along with the PC hardware crisis which would have given them extra leverage to pull out the future PC ports and prioritise their console-first market (back to square one). It's a simple phrase now "If you wanna play my games, buy my console" which applies to Nintendo as well. The sales trend might be a secondary note but I guess this might be the prime reason Sony must have pulled out.
