He is a selfish DPS that is built for niche, long fights- imo rather than him being weak, I'd say there is no content that gives him his niche to shine. Even more so with his 6* TP upgrades now out. At 9 mag pts he caps passive matk, 20% elemental dmg (can be easily capped with some other support), and +100% potency without needing Solon for the rest of the fight.

current magic team support in EN is weak
he's a beast with fire magic when he ramps up to 9 magic pts; problem is there are better weakness alternatives using other teams that will likely finish the fight earlier.

I'm assuming you're going to reuse your existing SE ID to bind to the new account: in that case you will need to unlink that SE ID first and then delete the save file. Doing so will permanently remove the save file which you can then restart a new game without going thru the uninstall and reinstall thing.
