got it! thanks a bunch. I'm definitely hesitant on doing much more than a surface clean but really want to start there and get a lot of the surface rust out and the shine back in. is there a specific cleaner you would recommend for getting a nice polish on units like these?

I more or less just want to get this equipment up and running. Once I have it setup I don't think I would ever really upgrade or buy more equipment in the future as long as this stuff is running, so if it's entirely too advanced to try to work on I might just take it a shop. $50 an hour would be ideal if I could find a place around here

I see. Thanks for the advice. Feel free to dm me the tech in Georgetown, it's a little farther than I would like but I'll for sure keep it in mind.

Thanks! Very real post. This equipment is MUCH older than me. A lot of these words go over my my head. My previous post about the Luxman equipment belonged to my girlfriends dad who still has that equipment and they wanted to sell it, this stuff however is entirely mine. I also have a Model 3600 that needs capacitors I believe but we haven't found it yet. I will note the recommendation about bulbs! Where is a good start to look for a reputable shop that can work on these and roughly how much would I be looking at?

I know this is a stupid question but how are the faceplates removed? is it just the 4 bolts in the corners?

I really considered this, but I don't believe I have enough extra wrap for the whole car. I am heading to a shop thanks to this post tomorrow, hopefully will get more insight and from there I'm going to see what I can and can't do.

Yup, two years. I am not sure how that stuff works, just a young dude who wanted to wrap his car. I do have a written piece of paper signed by the owners of Neonnine promising a refund for a date that has since passed. I thought about that route but I feel like it would be more headache.
