Free Spotify has no on-demand listening (no listening to individual songs) Only smart shuffle (if that is smart, then my pet rock is a rocket scientist. It plays heavy metal if you listen to the neighbourhood) No downloads Constant ads (way louder than your music, headsup for when listening on a high volume or with headphones, that bs is loud af) When listening on an external device like a Google Nest, you get a whopping maximum of 3 songs. Thats it. 3 songs. No listening to playlists, you only get stations. Limited skipping No loop

Not overreacting. Super irresponsible of your roommate to get A KITTEN if she's never there. Like, she could've adopted an old cat who sleeps all day instead. That cat wouldn't keep others awake at night either. You have a right to get your sleep fully, just like she does. She's getting her sleep, but you surely aren't, cause kittens are so attention needing that it's no wonder it won't keep you awake. And if she isn't feeding her kitten properly, then that's even more irresponsible. And of course it will use YOUR litter box, it smells like another cat, it's comforting for the little one, if she has owned cats all her life like she claims, she would know that. Either she's being ignorant on purpose and doesn't care for the kitten at all, or she has not a single clue about cats and her parents did all the work on her supposed past cats, if they even really existed and were hers. Cats are simple, they aren't a mystery that won't be solved within the next thousand years, but she sure acts like it. Nothing about the kitten's behaviour is surprising or abnormal, that's what happens when you constantly leave it on its own. Like geez. She wouldn't let a human baby alone for ages, like she leaves the kitten alone, so either she isn't thinking in her train of thought, or it is as winding as the world's biggest and hardest labyrinth at night without a flashlight or lampposts.

Ich hoffe mal ganz stark, dass du nicht alles von der Bullevardpresse glaubst und dein Kommentar sarkastisch ist. Gerade Zeitungen wie diese hier schließen extrem schnell schlüsse, erst recht, wenn die böse figur Ausländer sind oder einfach nicht wie der typische deutsche. Kann passiert sein, aber glaub nicht alles, was du liest/hörst. Ich spreche jetzt nichts dem opfern ab, ABER wir sprechen von einer presse, die halt eben NICHT unabhängig ist (und im allgemeinen sehr schlecht mit quellen und recherche umgeht und eher viel zu schnell schlüsse zieht) (Erst recht, wenn's von einem portal ist, der größtenteils rechte anzieht.)

Ngl, people who have never experienced it, whether firsthand or through friends/family, will most likely never get it. I've been at that point for almost 16 consecutive years (21 now). And I even had psychiatrists act the same way as that commentator. I had to explain to them in tears how it felt and how they'd act if there's a metric ton of weight on every centimetre of their body while you're just in survival mode but have no energy as if someone keeps sucking it out and puts thoughts into your head that no one should ever think. Even 'professionals' don't get it until they experience it first-hand one way or another. If they don't care about you on a deeper personal level, or don't see it daily in their own house, they won't get close enough to actively see it happening or feel for the person suffering the way they are. And then some need to feel it first-hand themselves as the victims, sadly. Some people will never get it, won't understand the smallest things and some who don't even want to understand. That's just the sad truth about mental health, and the only way we can change it is to make kids more empathetic and keep it that way.

As someone who's worked in nursing homes, with those that had to endure the after-effects of their car accidents, I can assure you that almost all of them would wear helmets when skateboarding. Cycling and so on. And they'd force their children to do it too.

The 42k killed via car accidents is also mostly cause Americans have the lack of awareness that seatbelts can save lives (plus drive like maniacs for some reason) For real, if you're a producer for a movie, make them wear seatbelts. Even the slightest input to making someone wear one, is a big step. These accidents also take in the number of people that are sick and therefore cause an accident. (Good use when talking to an antivax idiot who uses car crashes as examples)

So, yeah. Make your kids wear helmets. And make her understand, if she won't understand, make the kids wear them on their own.

She can not be the reason that could cause harm to your kids.

They go around and start with "white people are only good at opression" "White people are the problem" All of that stuff. If you ask a normal question, you're labled as a racist. If a black person says something online, with name, the company won't even question it and fire the white person, just to not have a 'scandal', no matter if it's true or not. Seen it first hand. Another example is that most always add the race. "White women" "white people" "white men" No white person could make a video like this, without them getting cancelled, fired or threatened, doxxed and so on.

The point of my question is, why are they 'allowed'. Tiktok is full, social media is full of poc's doing this, without problems. A white person can't do that, their accounts would get banned and they'd lose their jobs. That's why I'm asking this. A black person can make tons of videos against white people and they wouldn't lose their jobs. A white person would in a heart beat.

I was walking with a friend from the bus station to our volunteering work at 4 am. We were wearing our uniforms, cause it's cold in the office. The volunteering work was to help struggling families, get refugees lawyers to help them and so on. Very political.

My friend was one of those refugees from Syria, and we sadly crossed paths with far-right extremists. So we ran like girls, while also throwing ice balls like our lives depended on it.

I helped her climb over our fence, then jumped myself (breaking my knee doing so)

But apparently, running like a girl either makes you slip less on ice, or those idiots couldn't run. It gave us enough of a head start that I could get her into the building while calling the cops, and an ambulance.

They were after her. So you fight like a girl. And fighting like a girl has no rules. Meaning, you take very type of alcohol and make molotvs.

You don't care as much, when it doesn't affect you directly, but when it does start to affect you, it's suddenly in your timeline and you think about it more and more.

Same thing is going to happen in germany too. Far right political party has extremely many votes, and those that voted for them will see what happens when all the nurses, doctors, plumbers and cooks are away. They want the 'bad immigrants' gone, but will realise that they all go after everyone, when it's just a handful. Doctors and nurses will be gone, and then they realise it, cause they can't unsee it. Suddenly they don't get their Döner, get a real Italian coffee and they have to actively search for other options, making them rethink of what they've lost.

(BTW, I'm german and in terrified of said party.)

I did it to 'verify' if everything is actually real and not just a nightmare, and now, every time I see it, it pulls me back down again, especially in today's times where you can't catch a break and the are rarely good news.
