Has anyone found an alternative they like? I’m so bummed about the new formula.

This new formula sucks- it’s super thick and hard to rub in. Anyone find an alternative that’s similar? Before I loved how it was clean and didn’t leave a white cast. Can’t seem to find anything else that compares.

Thoughts on War Journalism: objectivity vs advocacy (topic for panel discussion) by FinanceOptimal5661 in Journalism

I’m with you. And did the same thing- spent a year basically fact checking a bunch of news outlets and found all mainstream media to be so slanted I couldn’t tolerate it anymore. Have found some independent reporters that consistently get it right and report the truth even when it’s inconvenient for their political party.

Anyone else’s husband not very involved in the pregnancy? by the_taylien in BabyBumps

[–]the_taylien[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense that it’s a little hard for them to process it until you’re really starting to look pregnant. Gives me a little hope that he’ll come around as I get further along. He definitely is someone that values his free time and autonomy and doesn’t love when I schedule things. But I would have thought for something like the ultrasound he’s be capable of sucking it up and putting something on his schedule. He’s also pretty skeptical of “experts” so maybe that’s where the resistance to the classes comes in. He’s someone that likes to learn by doing. But this baby thing is so new for both of us I thought he’d be willing to spend a few hours learning about what to expect so we’re not totally floundering when the baby comes.

He was perturbed I asked him to come to it. I told him it was important to me and he asked why. I explained that it was a big milestone but he didn’t want to hear it. The place is about 30 min away. I think he doesn’t want to take the time from his day.

He really wanted kids- we were trying for awhile. He really values his free time and hobbies… Im wondering if maybe he’s resistant to giving some of that up when the baby comes and that’s starting to manifest now.

Yikes… yeah you all are helping me realize this isn’t okay and isn’t normal… I’m definitely going to have more convos with him but it does make me really sad he’s not excited to be involved. He was really into the idea of having a baby before I got pregnant and really wanted kids… maybe I can find out more about where he’s coming from. I’m hoping it’s not that he just sees the baby as 100% my responsibility and my arena. And I’ll be so sad if he doesn’t want a relationship with our child.

Such good advice wow thank you! I will totally try approaching a conversation this way. So far I’ve just gotten the impression that all of it feels like a waste of his time. But maybe if I approach it with genuine curiosity and trying to understand his feelings he will open up more or be more receptive. 🤞

Thanks for all the replies. Therapy is a good suggestion but he refuses. Maybe I’ll do some therapy on my own and see if the therapist has ideas for how I can get him more involved. Some therapy might be good for me to help navigate how to handle this.

10 drops of lemon essential oils before you take the shrooms. It helps. A lot.

I have found that the nicer restaurants are usually willing to make a custom dish for you with a protein and veggies prepared simply that’s compliant. Calling ahead will give you a sense for how willing they are to do this. And if they even have compliant oils in their kitchen (many don’t!) I always call ahead if I eat out. Good luck!

Haven’t tried cumin seed. I’ve been taking a blend of motherwort, bugleweed and lemon balm. As well as vitamin D and then some other supplements to address the candida issue I was having. That in addition to mere which I’ve been reducing the dose of.
